Shame and disgust!

I have totally not thought about crocheting. I think I am the least crafty person I know. Good for you though. I so want to see this top when you have finished. Big squishy hugs right back to you hun xoxo
 
Hi guys.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday we had a friend come round and I forgot after she left. I'm still being good but came on yesterday (12 days early!!......I was 13 days late last time!!! It's totally all over the place) and feel bloated.

There was two bloody cakes at work today but I resisted. I've got a holiday to get in to :)

I should get chance to have a read of your diaries and catch up tomorrow.

I've been so rubbish :( I've been conveniently forgetting to post and then having a crap day!!! Well, today will be different. Today I am starting my 45 perfect days!!
My holiday is in 45 days and I NEED to lose some bloody weight and be less self conscious so I have a list of things I am going to do for my 45 perfect days :)

1) I WILL stay within my calorie allowance every day.
2) I WILL go to the gym at least 3 times a week.
3) I WILL do 10,000 every day.
4) I WILL post on here every day.
5) I WILL NOT sit down and do my crochet until after 9pm.
6) I WILL NOT sit down during the day for more than 30 minutes.
7) I WILL NOT EAT BREAD, CHOCOLATE, SWEETS, CRISPS, BISCUITS, CAKE and CHEESE!!!

And I will try and cut out processed food as much as I can.

I know it's mega but I'm up for it. And, hopefully it will kick start me. :eek:
 
45 days of being incredibly strict? You can do this Kate. I'm also being strict so we can cheer one another on! Being lighter & fitter on your holiday will make it so much more enjoyable. I'll hold back the big squishy hug for now. We're on a mission!

I would suggest starting small, try a whole week at first, then after that week is done, try to last for two. Basically, large goals should be broken down to as little ones as possible. You will eventually adapt this new habit, but you gotta start small, in my opinion. Cutting too much too quickly may bring to over indulging.

Also, I would not cut out bread, chocolate and cheese. I would incorporate a small dosage of these products into your daily diet. For example one slice of bread with a few eggs is not a bad idea for breakfast. A few squares (not a whole bar) of dark chocolate could go well with coffee. And cheese, well why would want to avoid cheese completely? Cheese is love. Can't tell you how much I love Greek salad with feta cheese.

The key is to train your brain to control portions, not restrict yourself of everything that is awesome.

Perfect 45 Day 1 DONE!!!!!

I'm kinda feeling in a pink sort of mood :) Anyway, Day 1 done. very proud :) Great food day, no crap. finished work, came home and got changed, took mum to the doctors then got fuel for the car and went to the gym.....i'm at 3 and 5 min interval runs for the first time today and oh boy they were hard but I didn't stop, I had to slow my pace for the last 90 seconds but I kept going :hurray:yay me! after the gym I had to go to the supermarket, came home, made Marks sandwiches and my lunch for tomorrow, had a shower and had my dinner.........its 9.45pm and relax.
I did 14,106 steps today :)

Tomorrow is gonna be another super busy one, i'm aiming to go to the gym again after 'fat club' I help out there.

Heya Fatforge. I'm afraid that I shouldn't eat bread anyway, it really doesn't agree with my, it totally messes with my digestion and I get really really bad bloating but I love it so tend to eat it anyway. I have a huge problem with chocolate.......I cant eat 'a bit' I have to eat it all. If its there it is all I can think about and I never win the argument with it so it is a banned substance, so is cheese, not as bad a chocolate but I have to ban these things as I have no control. I've tried over the years and just cant do it. Thanks for stopping by :) I will check out other diaries when I get chance, probably Wednesday.

Getting caught up on your diary. I swear some of your posts could've been written by me! Bad days, ok days, perfect days, bad crashes... etc. I get it! I'm trying to get myself up off the ground after a bad weed, no a HORRIBLE week. It's all a part of this journey I suppose. I love your determination. I'm sure you'll get to where you need to be, one day at a time.

I'm also with you on bread, chocolate, and cheese. I've never been a big bread eater so eliminating that was no problem. Chocolate? Forget it! One bite leads to 100. I want it all! Cheese, like you, isn't as bad as chocolate, but I've been known to overdo that as well. I'm trying to be as fresh / non processed as possible as well. I've been reading a lot about the Wheat Belly lifestyle and am really interested in trying it. It's just a matter of getting my head straight and my motivation and self control back on track.
 
Hi everyone.
I tried to post yesterday but it wouldn't let me :( I had a good day and day 2 of 45 was perfect. I've gotta go out in a sec to go to a 'rotary club' meeting to try and scrounge some sponsorship to a hike I am doing (can't remember if I've told you about it but i'll explain later, if i'm back in time)
Anyway, I've (so far) had a perfect day 3..........tonight might be a temptation but I WILL be strong.
I'll check back in when I get home, if it's not too late, otherwise it'll be tomorrow :)
 
Hi Guys, i'm back from the meeting...it was 'the round table' not the rotary club. Hopefully, it went well.

Right, yesterday........
I stayed within my calories, went to the gym and tortured myself, did 12,199 steps and I didn't eat any banned substances :) Yay!! 45 perfect days day 2 done :hurray::hurray:

Today. Stayed within my calories, didn't go to the gym but that's ok, i'm gonna go tomorrow. did 11,505 steps and didn't eat any banned substances :) 45 perfect days day 3 done...boom!! :)

I think I said that I am an Explorer Scout leader and I, along with other leaders, will be hiking along the length of Hadrian's Wall at the end of May. For those who don't know, Hadrian's wall was built in about 180AD by the Romans across the country to keep The Scottish out of England and it's still there to this day as the border to Scotland, it is a really popular tourist attraction. It is 84 miles long and we will be walking the whole length of it camping along the way and carrying huge back packs with all our tents and gear!!!! We are doing it over 6 days. I know, stupid huh?! No, I don't know what I was thinking. We are doing it to raise money for our Explorers.

Perfect 45 day 4 done :) :) YAY!!!

I've done 16,848 steps today :eek: covering 7.61 miles! And that was just work and going to the gym for about 45 mins. I ate a lot today but it was all good food, no banned substances :)

The gym was really hard this evening. I was trying to do week 4 of C25K which was 3 min run, walk, 5 min run, walk, 3 min run, walk 5 min run, walk. on 9 for running and 6 for the walking but it was so hard, my knees hurt, my foot hurt.....everything hurt and I bloody hated it by the end of the first 5 min run. The thought of having to run it again made me want to cry. Then I realised that my body wasn't ready to do that long, ok I had been doing the weeks running up to it but not in a very close time frame, missed week here, two missed weeks there..and so on. SO.........I decided to start again :) it was 8x1 min interval runs with 90 sec walk in between. The difference was unbelievable! I put the run speed to 10 (which is equal to doing 5k in 30 mins) and the walk speed on 6. I ran tall and straight with a strong stride whereas before I was struggling and stooped. From now on I will do as the App says and run every other day so I get strong enough for each increase. I know I can do it, I did it before 4 years ago.
