Not yet. While golden are known to be water dogs, she doesn’t care to wade into local streams any deeper than her paws.

Long day, 7 am drove 2 hrs to visit with my mom (88), then around 2 pm drive back home . Did half hour strength training then relaxed in the hot tub for half an hour. Several interruptions though from our 4 legged workout partner. It’s hard to do leg raises with a golden retriever sitting on your abs.

Yes mom’s still hanging in there. My brother & sister live close & also check in on her every week. At 88 she’s ok physically, but her short term memory is not good. Home care comes in 5 days a week to assist with baths & dirty dishes. We all help with cleaning , laundry & make her TV dinners so she doesn’t have to cook.

I think it's great that your Mum can be in her own place but be so well supported by her family. I really admire cultures where older people are really valued & looked after. I feel we have lost the plot. My parents looked after my grandparents until they died & they lived such happy & full lives. The family were always just around the corner.

Weather has been up and down again here. Tuesday was windy & cold so did a hiit session on the Treadclimber, yesterday was nice calm -3C so I got out for a 3 km walk with Bella.

Weather continues to bounce-16 on Friday & back up to zero today & +12C expected on Sunday. It’s the start of maple syrup season

I like the sound of maple syrup season way more than that of allergy season

That really is a big variation. At least you can see some warmer weather on the way.

8-10 Below zero Celsius at night and then above zero during the day is typical for March maple syrup season here

weather was crazy nice,sunny +11°C for a couple days, & now its dropping back down below 0 again, snow forecast on Sunday. gotta love Canadian spring time LOL

Bella and I had 2x 2km walks around our subdivision. First one stopped due to rain this morning & second this afternoon stopped by hail followed by rain
