Screw that scale!

I'm a "get on the scale every morning" kinda gal. Well, that is now out the window cause either a) the damn thing is broken or b) I've managed to gain 3 pounds and lose inches!

I decided this week to try on a leather jacket I bought in January of 2008. Around Christmas '08, I planned on wearing it and it wouldn't button..on top of the arms being so tight I was afraid to move.
So I was hesitant to try it on this week. Low and behold, it's bigger now than it was when I bought it! And I've lost 11 inches! Damn that scale for discouraging me these past few days.

Just thought I'd share my excitement haha

lol, always a good move, The other alternative is that ya sister borrowed it and stretched it hehehe :D

Good job!

It's funny you mention a leather jacket. Several years ago my brother gave me a very nice leather jacket (that you get to wear about 2 days here in Florida), and I had to lose a lot of weight to get in it. I loved that jacket and have always kept it, even though I couldn't wear it.

Today I was making some notes (I keep a diary of sorts on a Word document of my thoughts and plans), and I started digging in the closet, and broke out my Dale Earnhardt uniform jacket, and my leather jacket.

I tried them both on, and I've got a ways to go before I could wear either of them, but I've got some serious work to do to get into that leather jacket.

I hung it on my bedroom door so I will see it every day and every time I see it, I think to myself "that's my goal". When I can get back into that, I will have truly accomplished something. I don't think I'll be in it by the time the weather cools off this year (although I may make it into my Earnhardt jacket), but by cool weather time next year, I'm going to be sporting it!
