It's taken me over a year to get to my halfway to goal point. I got sick last summer and had to have surgery which took several months from which to recover. I plateaued through the whole ordeal which was a little disappointing. I would have thought I would have lost a lot of weight since I wasn't eating alot. But no.
So in January I was determined to get back on course and it's taken me several months to develop a good routine that I'm comfortable with. And now I'm seeing results again.
I'm counting calories, aiming for 1600 or less. I do the treadmill 3 to 5 times a week, and I'm doing anywhere from 4 to 6 miles at a time (burning 400 to 600 calories). I've added some crunches and tricep exercises as well.
So that's where I'm at. As of this morning I've lost 38.2 pounds and have 36.8 to go. I started this whole process on October 11, 2004. So my aim is to meet my goal before October 11, 2006.
So many of your stories have been inspirational and I thank you for taking the time to share them with the rest of us. It is such a motivation and I know that I'm the type of person that I can't do this alone. I have more success being a part of a community with similar struggles and ultimately achievements!! You know that whole "it takes a village" thing!!!
So a big thank you to everyone!!!!
