You guys may just be right. I don't know. It's fun getting surprises. But I don't want her spending so much effort on a futile cause. I'll figure something out.

Everyone has made a run for the border at some point or another. To make sure you're prepared for your next trip to Taco Bell, I've broken down some of the popular menu items.

You should probably stick to the Crunchy Taco's Fresco Style (no cheese) as one has 150 calories, 7 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 360 mg of sodium and 14 grams of carbs. (*The soft taco fresco style weighs in with 190 calories)

You could also go for the Chicken Gordita Fresco Style which has 230 calories, 6 grams of fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 570 mg of sodium and 29 grams of carbs.

What to stay away from

You definitely do not want to get the Fiesta Taco Salad as it packs in 860 calories, 46 grams of fat, 5 grams of trans fat, 1800 mg of sodium and 82 grams of carbs. (*The salad without the shell still has 490 calories!)

Fit's Tip: Watch out for condiments like sour cream and baja style sauce, they will pack on the extra calories!

So the next time you make a run for Taco Bell, you'll be prepared to make healthier choices.

At least with this info, you can make informed decisions where food is concerned. Speaking of food, here's how my day has been going so far.

Breakfast
1 plain bagel w/ 1 tsp of cream cheese - 211 calories
0.5 grape fruit - 46 calories

Lunch
Pasta Pronto - 300 calories
- whole wheat pasta, strips of chicken breast, mushrooms, onions, red roasted peppers and chopped tomatoes w/ marina sauce.
1 tsp grated parmesan cheese - 7 calories

Snack
0.4 cups of cottage cheese - 67 calories
0.5 banana - 54 calories
1 quaker chewy granola bar - 90 calories

Dinner
Boca Burger - 100 calories
enriched wheat bun - 110 calories
0.2 oz of yellow sweet corn - 27 calories
5 baby carrots - 19 calories

I wish I had your resolve. But I'm a sucker for drive thru and take out. So I gotta feed the need. At least when I'm busy feeding it, I won't worry about the effect this one burrito will have on my thighs. Ok, I guess I'll put up another what to order tip for French cuisine.

Here goes nothing

It's funny, I had actually posted up a few pics of myself in a previous diary entry a while back, but the pics are no longer up and neither is the post. I don't know what I did, but I guess I'll post these pics of myself. I'm too chicken to actually post them up on the before and after page. Maybe when I reach my goal, I'll be braver. Until then, here I go. The first picture was taken I guess last year at 204lbs. What's funny is that my red headed friend that I'm posing with weighs what I used to weigh back in high school. I jokingly call her high school weight everytime I see her.

The two pictures with me in a vest were taken a month ago when I was 195lbs. The final picture was taken on Saturday at my current weight of 180. My hands were placed strategically behind my back because I was attempting to keep my jeans from falling off me. They're a size 12 and are too big. For reference, I'm 5'10 but as wishes has told me, I look shorter than 5'10 in my pics. Years of being ashamed of my height has left me with a bad case of perma-slouch. I'm working on being proud of my tall frame.

Yeah I'm really trying not to pander to the short people in my life anymore, but anytime we take a photo, I go into automatic slouch mode. I'll bend my knees, cock my hip to the side and slightly bend my head just so I won't stick out from the crowd. Hmm I never really thought about it, but I didn't get serious, serious about losing the weight until February; around the time I started this diary. While I was in England during January, I managed to maintain the weight I had already lost (I went from 214 to 190 in about 2 months). Then, I got back to school, started eating dining hall cooking all willy nilly and put on 5 pounds. Since then, I've been watching what I eat and losing weight steadily.
