Scared and need support

i wouldnt worry about it til you see the docs. theres nothing you can do but wait. im not a doc but i have had maaany kidney problems and unclincally significant kidney damage isnt something you should really fear, kidneys can get damaged or scarred and heal and still work fine. if it was something to worry about im sure they would/will talk to you about it. kidneys are damn strong organs, i had two when i was born but only one now. for 11 years my left one was infected and caused all sorts of problems in my whole body, i ended up having it removed but the right one coped through all of this and soldiers on alone.

im not sure if this message wil be of any comfort, but be strong. dont look at the results, dont think about what they mean. this will only reduce you to paranoia and fear. wait til you see the doctor then fire away with your questions.

good luck and keepus informed!

I have finally heard back from the doctor. I am scheduled for an abdominal ultrasound at the end of August and a follow up visit in early September. This makes me less stressed out because if something was seriously wrong with me they would want to see me sooner I imagine. I will carry on with my weight loss and hope this minimizes some of the health risks that I am facing in my future. Thanks for all of your support and kind words.

I am exactly like you, I get very paranoid and stressed over practically a sniffle. I'm rarely ill but sometimes I get a weird sensation in my body that most likely everybody gets and I'm off on an internal tangent worrying about it. A few times I've made the mistake of looking on the internet. BIG MISTAKE! Lately I've had some tingling and heat in my hands, an odd sensation, and I'm stressed over it. Last time I stressed over my health was about 2 years ago when I was having these weird sensations in my head, like a tingling. That went away after a few weeks though so I stopped worrying.

Hope you have good news from your Xray.
