Yes...DOVE chocolates... I want to see how my body reacts to lack of refined sugars... just to see if I can tell an immediate difference. :)

How's the sugar free diet going? I've been constantly amazed at how I have changed. I am 100% sure that the days of lethargy and headaches that I used to get a few of each month were sugar crash related.

If you can resist those dove chocolates, I think you can resist anything!
 
Hey man..I'm leaving work and have to hit the store...but I'll message tonight! I haven't broken my sugar free... still looking at the chocolates! and not really craving them. I'm stoked! Heading out now! BBL all!

I'm doing sugar free too, it's so amazing to have stable blood sugar levels again. Glad to hear others are feeling better avoiding it.
 
So we just had dinner. I rounded out my dinner with a grand total calorie intake for the day of 1,522. Not bad. Not bad at all. Now I was gonna gazelle tonight... yeah... NOT happenin. My legs are twisted like you wouldn't believe! They feel like someone is pinching them. But taht's a VERY good thing! I feel good. I feel GREAT to be honest! It hurts like all get out mind you...but it feels great. No pain no gain right?

Plus..on top of that... today was my first day with NO sweets...unless you count the 3 menthol cough drops... here's the problem... I found out that they're aboout 15 calories each. So... I wonder if I should try cold turkey... no sweets for me. I'm pretty jazzed that I can do it... what do you guys think?

I know that this diary is for ME and to help me track my own progress. I'm trying my best to stay with the program and keep going. I've not stayed this disciplined with something on my own. In the army, it was forced on me. Any other time in my life, I didn't do anything to better myself. I've always had self esteem issues. I started comparing my diary to others who have the same amount of posts as me and double the views and I just...well... was getting a little upset. But now, in hindsight, realize that my reaction to it is very trivial. So.... I start anew... again. Sorry for the tangent :D

Nothing to worry about here, these diaries do, by their nature, seem a little self absorbed (especially mine :) ). I was having a similar reaction, and I guess it's got a lot to do with how much you end up typing about yourself in it. But, since this is all about self improvement and self image, it's the right place to do it!

Back to this morning! Half way through my workout, I snap out of it and get serious! I start pushing it and really making it burn. And man...it was good! By the end, I was awake, strengthened, and ready to take on my day! I go to shave and get ready to prepare for my weigh in. Now, yesterday, I got on the scale yesterday and I broke the 230's. I was at 229 on Sunday! I was so excited!!!! I had my food for the day...then hopped on the scale hoping for the same number if not lower... 231 today. All I have to do is just work hard and I'll acheive my goals. No worries... I WILL lose the weight and I WILL continue to go on!

Oh man, I have GOT to get started on some proper working out. All my exercise has been walking. We'll both lose the weight, but I think you're going to look more impressive! Plus, you're catching up to me I think!

Do you have any short term goals? I'm trying to get to 100kg (220lb) by the end of the year. Lots of walking for me!

So.... this morning was a mix of good and bad. I forgot to tell everyone that my exercise program had a "Physical Challenge" scheduled for me for this morning. :eek: I was literally worried for what Maya was going to put me through! Now I get up at 4:50 as usual and select "Physical Challenge". What a RELIEF!!! It was an assessment of my progress. (not that I wasn't up to welcoming a challenge... my thighs are just on fire!) I've up'ed my push up count, my crunches, my flexibility since my last check in....which is great! Showing good progress. After that was done (doing 2 minutes of jumping jacks with thighs o'fire is NOT fun), it was time for a 30 minute flexibility work out. It was good... though she up'ed the difficulty by 3 degrees! Which is CRAZY talk! I was in such pain at the begining during the conditioning before the actual flex training.

The bad part of this all is, I got SO dizzy doing the flex training/stretching. My head was SPINNING. When I would have to bend over, then slowly stand.... I just started getting queazier and queazier. ugh it was terrible. I didn't shake it until just a few minutes ago.

But the GREAT news is... I've dropped to 229lbs!!!!!!! I've Broken the 230's! w00t!!!! It didn't fluxuate back to the 230s or nothin...it just stayed at 229! I'm so stoked! I know I could jump right back to the 230's..but I'm gonna keep workin on it and staying on my program! :)

MTM&K is feeling WAY under the weather today... she's feeling worse and worse we're getting a little worried. She's gained a few more pounds (though, as she said... she's lost fat % and gained water %...which is awesome). She's not on the health insurance through my job and we're gonna probably have to go to the free clinic here in town... We just need to get her checked out... Gotta keep my babe healthy! and my baby (or babies?!?)

220 by the end of the year sounds reasonable! I'm game! Got a little ways to go..but we can do it no problem man! I really enjoy the full spectrum workout I've been doing...it's really help me feel like I'm working every muscle!

And I'm on day 2 of my sugarless trek! It's going good so far... I actually want a salad right now... not sure why...I think it's the ranch dressing craving that I have. What a weird craving.

Thanks RNW.... I'm hittin it hard and ready to keep it up! If you asked me a year ago if I'd be this health conscience...I'd laugh at you then order a big mac! HA

Sounds like your kickin ass in the exercise department...keep upt he good work that is what works for me , If I exercise like at least 1.5 hrs a day on top of work I can drop easily...

I hope your wife feels better soon...and if she does continue to feel so bad I think you definately need to get her into the clinic...I know easier said than done, especially if you have to pay right...it is harder when money outta the pocket...

Hey you, I just read your post in Sprites thread abt the Your Fitness is it...anyway I am interested int hat, can you give me a bit more info...I have an xbox and I do yoga and all that but the vid I have it now too easy...I would totally be interested in that however, I havent even heard abt it or seen it anywhere ... thanx so much cutie!!!

Thanks for the congrats! I don't do that much exercise in a day..but I'm active at work and I burn alot of calories throught the day with how much I'm moving around so... that may make up for it a bit! We just found out that MTM&K qualifies for Medicaid so... we're gonna get on that and that should help out tremendously!

And about Yourself Fitness...the program is KILLER...I love it! You can get it on Ebay for around: $15-$30 and you can buy it direct from them at $34.99. You can get it here:

I would recommend it for anyone/everyone...such a killer work out... You even can do yoga/pilates with it. There's a full meal plan, customized workouts to your abilities, strengths and weaknesses. They incorporate equipment you have at your house (if you have some)..but it's only 4 options on that one... but it'll ask you a few times a work out if you're able to keep up or if it's too easy. It's just plain awesome! (wish I were getting PAID for this advertisement LOL) There's 4000 different routines you can do as well...

Okay..enough with the product placement. I have only done about 25 oz of water and I need to step up my game! Hydrate hydrate hydrate!

You get up at 4:50 in the morning??? ugh! I have a hard time getting up at 7:30! lol

Anyways, your doing great! Keep it up!! Oh, and hows your wife comming along??

Yep... 4:50 a.m. I actually love it. I have to be to work between 7-7:30 in the mornings so... It gives me time to exercise, shower and eat. Only thing is...when the routines get easier...I'm gonna have to get up earlier :eek: I normally hit the bed around 9-10 (which is abnormal for me...used to be around 12 or 1 before exercising came into play). I love it.

MTM&K has seen better days. The morning(noon and night) sickness is really taking it's toll...some times she feels good..sometimes she feels bad... We're going to get her on medicad soon and maybe the Dr. will be able to get her some prescriptions to aid in the sickness...we'll see! I'll send her your concerns... :) Thanks so much

it helps keep me motivated (posting so much) I get all pumped up and ready to go! Thanks for saying I'm doing awesome..I'm trying really hard with my schedule..and sometimes see that onederland as an almost impossible goal..then I see the likes of Trucker and think... it's most CERTAINLY atainable! I'm pumped up as ever and ready to go! Thanks for the comments....gonna go read your posts during lunch today! (late lunch..I know) LOL
