Sport Saturated Fats in Peanuts

Sport Fitness
Hi guys,
Long time no post for me but here i am again LOL. I was wondering about something i noticed and would love to know what you guys think. OK so i checked the Nutrition facts for peanuts and peanut butter(Natural). I found out that they have the essential fats in them which is good but then they have like 2g of saturated fat too. So is it still good to eat them?

Thanks a lot guys!!!

I just bought a thing of "Better 'N Peanut Better" at Trader Joe's today. It was 2.5g of fat whilst regular peanut butter has 16g (per 2 tbl spoons). It's just fat stripped peanuts, all natural.

oh that is soo nice. So finally i can have peanut butter jelly LOL. Here is the link to the nutritian facts.

Thanks a lot man!!!

Moderation.

You need saturated fat in your diet..in fact it promotes anabolism.

But too much and its not good. As long as you're not getting too much saturated fat by adding the nuts, its fine.

Yeah.. 1/3 of your fats should be saturated. Since I eat a lot of meat, I think of peanut as balancing it out, since about 10% of the fats are saturated.

oh thats some information here. I did'nt know you need some saturated fat in our diet. I always thought to keep away from saturated fat. OK so how much saturated fat should one consume during a day?

Thanks a lot guys!!!

It depends on your caloric intake. Like I mentioned, 1/3 of your fats should be saturated. 1/3 should be monounsaturated and another 1/3 should be polyunsaturated.

It's trans fat you should completely avoid.

that reduced fat pnut butter is wierd-it has like double the carbs of normal pnut butter and only 4 g protein/serving; thats half the protein whats up with that?
