Hello everyone! I'm brand new so please take it easy on me haha. :) My name is Sarah, and I am a proud Kentuckian. I'm 5' 2" and a whopping 184 lbs; the heaviest I've ever been. I told myself at 160 that there was no way I was going to let myself get any higher... We all see how that turned out. I'm a college student as well, and during my freshman year I actually lost weight and weighed around 145, then somehow this past summer when I got a seasonal job the weight packed on. I'm not for sure how that happened, but I know I want to change it now!

Starting Weight: 184lbs.

First Goal Weight: 176lbs.

Final Goal Weight: 124lbs (the National standard for my height....apparently, they're not 5'2")

Resources/Plan: I'm using a combination of 3 or 4 different iPhone apps: Lose It! (calorie and weight tracker), Fleetly (a cool app that gives you weight loss goal and challenges), Fooducate (amazing! Scans the barcode of any item and tells you how unhealthy it is! haha), and My Fitness Pal (just started using it. Just like Lose It!, but with some more and some less food items.)


I think that covers it. I'll post about different workouts I do and that sort of thing. Here's to hoping to read this in August satisfied!





Oh, and my workout today:

-30min on the elliptical: 283.7 calories burned! :)

-40min on stationary bike: 125.8 calories! :)

-Went 4.2 miles total. :D

What does this mean? Cookie for Sarah, haha. :))))
 
Hi Sarah ~ Welcome! I just started on here about a week ago and have found posting regularly to be helpful. Just another way to hold myself accountable and get ideas. I also use Lose it and while I stopped for a few weeks once I started again my weight loss was more regular and I am happier using it than not. I'm going to check out Fleety ~ I need something to help with goals. Looking forward to watching your progress!
 
Thank you (may I call you Alice?)! :) I too stopped using Lose It until just yesterday. I've finally got a true motivation for losing weight-I just passed a kidney stone 2 days ago. :cry: Never had so much pain in my life. They say the cause of mine is poor eating habits, so that's one of my main focuses-that and exercise! I'm looking forward to you watching my progress! haha. I sure will need it. :D
