Sand VS Concrete... let the battle begin!

Lol. I live very close to a beach. Maybe like a 5 minute drive, and i was wondering if it was any better to run on a beach versus running around my block on the concrete or assphault. Should i run on the beach in shoes or bearfoot? How much of a difference or how bad or good are each? I just kind of thought it would be a little more relaxing to run on the beach with the cool breeze when the sun is rising or setting when its cool. OR run on the weekends in front of all the hot chicks everywhere lol.

running on the beach is very hard, i ran with my dad one time, and i almost died after 2 miles. so uhhh, i would advise trying this out before you try to impress the women folk... well i duno, after all nothing says your hot like some puke in the sand. :)

yup, jogs on the beach are defiently harder, BUT they are easier on the body by a long shot. Especially on the knees, and ankles. Most doctors and fitness experts Ive talked to recommend staying away from concrete/asphault. Anything else like grass, beach, treadmill is fine.

I would wear shoes while running on the beach. Unless your a hard ass and just wanna impress the ladies =). Running on the beach is defently harder.

I like running on the beach much better, theres none here though. In the snow is similar in difficulty but much less comfortable since snow = Cold

Sand is the best...it gives you RIPPED toe muscles :D
