Did a 5.5 mile hike at Irving Nature Park today - https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attracti...ing_Nature_Park-Saint_John_New_Brunswick.html is where I'm from. The park is a GREAT advantage to this area!

Also, I'm now an Active Member instead of a new member. I BELONG!!!!

LaMaria - has it ever! The past 3 years have had their ups, downs and absolute upside downs but between getting married, moving 2x, new vehicle, 2 kids and probably moving this summer because this galley kitchen is just NOT working for me, I'm completely happy. I have an incredible family, friends and am just happy with life in general.

That park looks awesome! I think I have a great-uncle or something living near you (for a given value of near) but I´d have to ask my mom. Being able to say you´re completely happy is a great achievement and it should make losing those pesky pounds a little easier!

Thanks both of you. I put on my jeans and a t-shirt as I'm off to the movies with a friend (hello, Assassin's Creed) and I instantly felt thinner but more toned. Like arms aren't jiggling as much - Okay, admittedly they were jiggling so much a couple of months ago, I thought I had implants put in them filled with Jell-o. It felt pretty awful but now, I feel pretty! I'm going to need to take a picture here soon for a side by side comparison.

Also, I'm actually eating meals. Not perfectly - breakfast is generally a piece of fruit, water and coffee (okay, fine - it's all coffee. But there's water in coffee.) Dinner is leftovers from the night before or at very least, cut up fruit and veg and egg or tuna. lately it's been turkey (wonder why). Supper has been 100% every night this past week. Lots of fruit and veg, no bread or pasta (because tummy = feeling good and keeping that way), lots of lean protein and everything sugar-free. I have had a couple of diet pepsi's which yes are bad etc etc - but I had a case of 15 and I can't just let them sit there. They'd be sad. Guys, they need me! (and I have one left that I will savour and then no more until Feb). It's definitely a treat now instead of a meal replacement.

Anyways, off to the films! Have a great night everyone (or day).

Another weird thing I'm doing this year for motivation:

I grabbed a tall, glass vase and have put a rock in it from every run I've done (2 so far). Whether it's in my hometown, a different town or wherever, I'm going to grab a rock and keep it then put it in the vase. The goal isn't to fill up the vase within any period of time (it's pretty big and the rocks are kinda small) but to see that it's filling up over time.

Then I can go dump out the vase when it's full and start over...or do some pebble art or something. Maybe I'll just throw the rocks at someone I don't like and get some mental clarity while sitting in a jail cell being psychologically evaluated for throwing rocks at someone while yelling "yeah, take that jogging rock and that jogging rock".

I need to go to bed.

Assassin's Creed is actually the best movie I've seen this year (couldn't resist saying that) LOL!!!!

Okay, in all seriousness, for a movie based off a video game, it's one of the best I've seen. It has a LOT of gameplay scenes (action scenes that extend a bit longer than may be necessary) but the plot, ending, characters were really thought out and put together. It's a good movie to watch to just enjoy an evening out - don't go if you're looking for a heart-felt, emotional ride but if you like action-packed adventure, it's a good one.

The way they incorporated past lives/the game into the present was phenomenal and bringing the conflict into present day couldn't have been done better. You can really tell some people asked "But what about this?" and immersed themselves into the gaming/sci-fi reality to answer questions that arise.

I also liked that the amount of blood/gore wasn't over the top for the amount of killing. Yes, there was blood - people were cut with Assassin's blades, of course there was blood. It wasn't like bowels were falling out or we saw any real gore. It was stabby, stabby - ahh - I'm dead.

Also, oddly enough - strong language was at a minimum. It was surprising because I expected a lot of f-bombs and other four-letter words. It was a pleasant surprise.

I would highly recommend it. It's a good, fun movie. I left feeling like I wanted to be an assassin which is basically how I know a movie was good - Fast and the Furious? I wanted to drive a car fast. Assassins? I want some blades at my wrists. (Not really, I'd forget and scratch my eye and die or something).

Anyways, so worth the watch!

Measurement time. It's been since the end of November that I measured myself and I figured, why not?! I haven't lost any weight for awhile but things still feel looser so it's time to try. My 2nd goal is January 17th and I was hoping for 215 but I don't think that's happening unless my body does a huge weight loss moment which happens sometimes after a plateau. We'll see but I'm not going to do anything crazy to get closer.

So...here are my November 25th Measurements and beside them are today's in bold:

Bicep: 12.25 13 (I've been lifting and they are looking SO much better so +.75)
Chest 47 45.5 (-1.5 inches!!!!)
Waist 40 39 (-1 inch)
bb 49 48 (-1 inch)
hips 49 48 (-1 inch)
thigh 28 28 (same but again, more toned and muscle definition)
calf 17.5 17.25 (-.25 inches)

Total inches lost since the end of November...4.75! (or 4 if you add in some gain from my arms).

Very well done! You must be doing something right :) Or, you know, a lot of things. Movie sounds good - Assassin Creed is one of those game series which actually has proper story lines instead of repeating itself against a different backdrop so I had some hope for the movie but now I may even go watch it.

Ohh will have to check the film out - I love the games. Well done on your measurements babe - you're kicking asssss <3
