Hey all all
So, school is in full swing. I'm making my flashcards like there is no tomorrow. I have a Patho test on Thursday, and it's my first one. I think I got what is covered down, due to my: prereading the material, notetaking in class, retaking the notes onto the lecture printable outline, and then making flashcards and going thru those... I'm slightly nervous because I thought I was going to do so well on my Math test and then didn't, but I have to remember this is Patho and not Math. I will succeed! The Math test I get to retake in a couple weeks and must get an 85 (i got a 74 to begin with). To help me succeed on the Math test I am going to make an appt with my instructor and go over what went wrong, lol... and get a tutorial CD from the testing center to help me study, and then study of course.
Yesterday was my lab day and we learned all about vitals. Taking a temp, taking a pulse, taking respirations and taking BP... BP is where I'm struggling a little bit but I know practice makes perfect and I have to keep doing it. I also learned about asepsis and setting up a sterile field. Putting on sterile gloves without contaminating anything is a lot more tricky than you would think....
Today I'm at work for the day. I got up extra early this morning to hit the DMV and get a duplicate DL because i lost my original last week sometime... Glad it's done and over with. I'm at work until 7pm and then I need to hit the grocery store for a few essentials.
The gym honestly hasn't been a priority like it should. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not getting there like i know I should. I always feel like I could be studying though and it would be "time better spent"... I think I'm wrong though because I know the exercise would be a great stress relief, which I definitely need. Yesterday was rough, I'm not going to lie. I was extra hard on myself and shouldn't have been. Today, luckily I'm more positive and trying to stay that way.
Hope everyone is having a great day,
Sam
