Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

Thanks for stopping by Rach :) Your so sweet! It's great to hear from you. I need to get back up on the wagon as far as the running goes. I was pretty into it for awhile but slacked off some... Tonite I plan on going though and getting in an awesome workout. I have a pretty busy work schedule this week myself, so I have to focus and make the workouts happen.

OT a little bit ;)........... I found out my friends are trying to set me up with someone. They are sick of me being "Mr. too cute to not have a BF" and I guess they perhaps found someone for me, lol... We shall see. My friends are naturally very protective of me and are "researching" him some, hehe. I will report more if there even ends up anything to report ;)

I can usually listen to whatever but lately when I run I like stuff that has a good beat and I can zone out in. Lately it's been a lot of Electronic and Technoish stuff, trance type stuff.... and of course some great 80's stuff too :biggrinjester:

-Sam

I love techno and trance...I listen to it in spurts though but it's great for exercising to.

Hope it works out with the guy you're friends are checking up on. That's so funny but cool that they are protective :) I'll cross my fingers for ya for sure.

A blind date, huh? Wow, how exciting!!! And I agree, you are too cute to NOT have a boyfriend. You're way to awesome to be single. The way I see it, somebody somewhere is missing you even though they don't know you. It's exciting, isn't it?-the thrill of something new like this? You'll definitely have to report back after your setup!! You'll have to tell us if he's as hunk-a-love as you are!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words you guys... You are all so great. I definitely have been a lot more "basket-casey" than normal lately, and I love you all for talking me down and getting me through it. Today's a good day :)

Give yourself more credit, you "worst critic of you," you! :p You don't sound any more basket casey than the next guy! Seriously! But yes, glad we can help :)

Friend of friends are usually the best way to go. Good luck on that! I recently was told by a drunk guy (whom I was crushing on, more on that later in my own diary I guess!), after I told him "No I don't have a boyfriend, I haven't me anyone good enough!" that I was "Too fucking cool for school". HAHA! And it so happens I have an old shirt that says TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL with a yellow bus inside a red circle with a slash through it :D SO I'm wearing it today! :hurray:

Tell us all about it, IF you have a date :bigear:

Lately I've been rocking out to Def Leppard when I'm training. The song, Animal, always gets me going since it was the song we played over and over again on our last adventure up Mt. Washington.

Sam, hopefully the 'set up' works out... or is at least fun! Meeting new people, even if it's meant to be nothing else, is fantastic... assuming said 'new person' is worthy.

Best to ya.

Thanks Steve :) It's true. I do need to meet more new peeps, especially some gaybees because my life doesn't include enough of them. My friends are tired of me being single and really really want me to meet someone, and hell, I do too. I'm going into it open minded and hoping for the best. Believe me, I know I'm a catch ;)

Thanks Val. You always have the nicest things to say :) I am pretty hard on myself. I just expect a lot out of me I guess, and I want to be up to my full potential. Worrying about shit though doesn't help me anyway though.

I hope the set-up works out but I kinda feel like talking about it is jinxing it a little bit though... I've heard a lot about him from my friend and I'm hoping they aren't building me up to something he will get disappointed by. My friend is assuring me though I have to be more confident because I'm hot shit... Still hard for me to comprehend a little bit. So far I know the guy is pretty butch, shaves his head, is stocky (which I like because I'm still kinda curvy :) ), and just turned 30, and has a good job... and is hilarious, which I love.... So, as long as he laughs at about 95% of my jokes, we'll be good ;) LOL....

HELLO!!!! This contradicts the last statement :p Sorry, just teasing you :) Yes, let's hope Dudehole has a good sense of humor! I like the "just turned 30" part--I'm sick of younger guys, myself!

So, food was good yesterday. Made it to the gym for a 3 mile run and some core.... not enough core though but the run was good. My lungs are a little weezy lately. I think I still have some reminants from a cold over the past few weeks or so. Hopefully it will all go away. The temperature has dropped a lot here in the past couple weeks, down into the 30-40-50 range, and I had been used to the nice mid 70's... Wadaya do?

Went with my little brother this morning and registered to vote. I actually re-registered because my address had changed during the last election, and my little bro had registered for the first time because he wasn't 18 during the last election.

Stuck at work for awhile. My dad and I took a trip to Costco today where he bought us some groceries and stuff. Such a nice guy :)

-Sam

WELL! Kudos for your dad :D I think I need to pimp a relative to buy ME some groceries soon!

The phlegm too shall pass :) 30-40-50??? Brrrrr!

Yea....is your dad open to adopting any new kids? lol I'd love to have a dad who went grocery shoppin with me, let alone paid for it too. Heck I can't even get my husband to go with me without my foot up his butt the whole way. I posted a whole rant about that in my journal just yesterday, lol.

LOL... I read about it. I live with my 2 younger bros and sometimes my dad likes to help us out and buy us groceries. I typically go every week for myself, and my bros eat some of it. My bros don't really go grocery shopping all the time and instead like to subsist on fast food or going out to eat. I'm trying to be more economical lately (trying) so I try to have groceries in the house to eat instead because it's cheaper... and healthier too.

My dad is a great guy. I lost my mother when I was 18, so he's all I have left. I don't see him quite as much as I like (outside of work) due to my stepmother who I kinda have a hard time with. I just want him to be happy and he likes to make sure we are all okay, especially my younger bros...

Found some health insurance.... Finally glad to have it sealed and done. The rate is guaranteed for 2 years and it does have a 3500 deductible but I don't PLAN on going into that... Something kinda cool... It has this special feature that if I have an accident of any kind (except car cause' car insurance would cover) it will pay 5000.00 to me, which would cover the deductible and medical costs anyways. It's like an extra 20 or so bucks a month but with my Capricorn-ic mindset, insurance is such such such peace of mind :)

Hopefully going to go for a run later tonite. The 3 miles felt excellent last night and helped me sleep I think. I am a little chest-congested today though, damn this lung butter my body is producing!!! LOL

-Sam

Hey, Sammy. One big advantage of the weather getting cooler is that running outside is so much more enjoyable. Once you get going and your body is warm, that cold air hitting your lungs is so great. More O2 per lung full. Nice!

Good thing you took your brother to register. Remember, though, elections don't only happen every 4 years. The elections that happen every year are also really important. Even when you are voting for the guy that you know is going to win, with or without your vote. Just getting out there and having your say makes a difference. Politicians make all kinds of decisions based on what the voters think, and if you are adding your say to that, he or she will take that into consideration.

So glad you have ins! Congrat's! :hurray:

Yer doin' such a great job, keep it up sweetie!
Hope yer run went well.
:)

:ack2: The lung butter is going around here let me tell ya! lol

My poor son is sick w/it and trying to prepare for the big choir event on Tuesday for school.
He's having a lot of issues since he is their main bass.

Hope he can get well before Tuesday! :willy_nilly:

~Hope you get well soon!~

:seeya:

Thanks for stopping by Stacey :)

So, got a nice 3.5 mile run in last night. Felt really good. I ate alright yesterday, pretty decent... We have a bunch of groceries in our house now, so finally having all this food around makes me want to eat more, lol...

Started studying my Nursing Math and some terminology... It's slow going but I feel like I'm knocking out some of the cobwebs in my brain and refreshing myself. I plan on creating a studyguide that includes the major topics in the pre-requisites I took over 2 years ago, and then studying that for about a month straight before school starts in January, just so I feel up to par, and I can get used to studying...

Planning on getting to the gym again tonite for another run and some chest/back/shoulders... My nose is still pretty drippy and I'm a little sneezy but the lung butter has gone down a lot.

-Sam

Hey Sam. I had two songs hit the random shuffle while running today and I thought of you. good songs to add to your list. First, Nowhere to Run by Crystal Method with Ozzy and Old Dirty Bastard. The second is Woo Haa, by Busta Rhymes.

I like me some Busta Rhymes, lol... Right now my mix has some Incubus, 80's randomness, Janet Jackson, and some techno/trance shit... My music tastes are all over the place...
