Thanks Mal ;) I have a friend of a friend who did the Dr. Frankfurter costume a couple years ago. It was very funny to see him in that costume, lol. He's very short, and chubby.... and very hairy, hehe...

My hubby and I doing the Rocky Horror thing tonight-
I'm going as Magenta & He's going as Dr. Frankfurter with the whole get-up, a wig & make-up... of course he's a big attention hog :piggy: and is excited about going. He made a great point, "I'm not apprehensive at all, one: because everyone else there is going to look just as stupid and two: no one is going to know it's who I am unless I tell them."

It should be fun. I personally would have never imagined little ol' shut-in me participating in this kind of things 3 years ago but I'm finding myself exceedingly excited about it!

Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there and make a complete fool of yourself in the name of FUN!! ;):D

ITA! I just posted about this in your diary, lol... I bet it will be tons of fun. They do special screenings of The Rocky Horror here too, where people dress up I think... I really want to go see it this year, hehe... We shall see....

Hey sweetie,

Great job re: "your 3 miles on the treadmill, and then doin' the Crosstrainer work-out for 20 mins. on high!"
:hurray:

I hope you'll post pics re: Halloween costume! :biggrinjester:

Have a Goal Reachin' & Fun weekend.

:hug2:

hey all :)

Pretty rough weekend... lol... Had some pretty heated arguments with my friends and it wasn't too pretty... Don't ever try to discuss politics with alcohol. Plus it was kinda rainy and depressing to boot. Did pretty well on the eating though, and plan on starting the week off right with a nice gym session this evening. This past weekend was just one of those that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm ready to move on though and have a great week this week :)

Yup, Sam. There is a reason they say that politics and religion are off limits at the bar. People are very opinionated about these topics and usually you are not going to change a person's mind.

Yeah... It was pretty ugly, and I didn't start it at all... I don't do political discussions usually... especially with this group of people... They started it and I took the bait because I was a little tipsy, and it got ugly... Oh well, it happened... We've moved on :)

I found out my Nursing Orientation is exactly a month from yesterday, so I've got that and the stress it induces coming up... I'm doing a lot better with the whole thing this go around I think. Still anxious and nervous but I know I can do it.

Thank you Casey. Ur such a sweetie. I know I can, I just doubt myself sometimes when I really shouldn't. I've decided I will just put all my effort into this program. In the past couple years since I haven't been in school, I've spent time doing a lot of meaningless, stupid, time wasting things... I don't have any regrets really but at the same time I realize I'm 25 and it's time to grow up a little bit and focus on something extremely worthwhile. I just have to learn to not stress myself out so bad, which I'm sure will come in time. :)

She looked awesome, but she was scaring the LIVING SHIT out of every kid who came to the door

:smilielol5: Oh that made me laugh! :D

Sorry about the bad tasting weekend, LOL--reminds me of an earlier comment you posted in my diary a while back, LOL! You might remember it! :D Let me know if you're running this week.....:leaving:

I bet you're really going to enjoy the nursing program...it's different when you're going to school for something you want to do. Plus the world needs more nice people like you in nursing, there's enough grouchy nurses already, lol. Not saying their won't be some stress involved...studying for exams can be overwhelming at times. But I bet it won't be too much of a problem :) You've stuck to a program to get healthier and fit all this time, that shows you can do whatever you set your mind to. Do you have to work while your in the program too or do you get to focus all your efforts on studying?

If I didn't have to work while I was in school, I wouldn't be stressed at all... It's just scary because it will be full time school, plus a day of clinicals, plus working full time ish... I still have to support myself, which I know a lot of people do so it can be done... If I think about it too much I get really stressed out. My dad said he'd help me some but at the same time I don't want to rely on him for much.... I hope I can balance it all.

I definitely understand, I'm working full time and going to school right now. I'm only taking 3 classes this semester though because I just couldn't do more this semester when two of my classes are trig and chemistry. This girl in both my classes complains how hard everything is, doesn't have to work at all, and hardly shows up for class but when she is there she's begging me for help. My friend and I were talking about how clueless she is because if we didn't have to work we'd be taking full case loads and making easy A's, lol. I just want to tell this girl to take advantage now while she can because it doesn't get any easier. I'm still kicking myself for not finishing when I was in my 20's and still lived in cali, where school was so much cheaper.
