Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

I really wanna see some Sam hair model pics. That's gotta be great! Did you go for your run last night? I've been pretty slack with my running too, but I went today!

Hey all :)

Sorry I tend to be MIA on the weekends, it's just that I work on a computer all week and then by the time the weekend comes I just feel like I want nothing to with one, lol....

Went running a couple of times... I plan on getting in a good run at the gym tonight after work. I had to be into work kind of early today, due to auditors being at my work... I hope to leave around 8pm ish and then go home, change, go run, then come home and wind down for tomorrow... Food has been alright, not too great but, okay. Last night I had some spaghetti that my friend and I made (she mostly made, hehe). We put Ro-tel with habaneros into our sauce to give it some extra kick, and it was pretty good. I did have some spaghetti noodles but I had most of the sauce on spaghetti squash :)

Went to the karokee with my friend on Sat. night... Did better than I did last weekend, so that is a plus :) Had a great time. Yesterday I went swimming at my aunt's pool for most of the day...

Thank you Paula :)

Had an excellent run last night and hope to have an equally excellent one tonight. I ran a little over 4 miles. Felt fantastic :)

Food was decent but probably not perfect... Today will be better than yesterday.

Good for you, Sam on sticking with the running. Shit, 4 miles is a helluva run. I'm taking this week off to let my knees and whatnot recover and will hit the pavement again this weekend. I'm certainly not yet a fan of running, but I drop weight like nobody's business when I'm doing it so I figure I'll keep it up a while. I may just stick with it for good and do short 2 mile runs a couple days a week just to stay in running form for next year.

I've also decided I'm going to sign up for a couple triathlons next summer. There are two nearby (one near where I work and one in the same park as the 8 mile run) within a couple weeks of the 8 miler which would be great prep as well as great motivators to stay in shape.

If you'd have told me a year ago I was entertaining the idea of running in an 8 mile race or entering a triathlon I would have laughed in your face. Funny how quickly things change.

So sorry to hear about your Aunt. I hope the lithium treatments are helpful. It's sad that there is so little help available to those who have it.

Nice job with all the running! You da man! :D

I love British humour. I discovered a new show while I was over there. It's called "Little Britain" and it's hilarious. It's very raunchy clever. I'm gonna get the first couple of seasons on dvd and watch them in the hospital while I'm in labor..lmao. I figure laughter is good for the system and might help me relax and take my mind of the pain. :D

hey all :)

Ran 3.6 miles last night... Felt pretty good, not as good as the night before though. I was really really sweaty last night when I ran, lol... like excessively sweaty. Made a new playlist on my ipod that should hopefully keep me entertained for my runs for the next few weeks or so. Food was pretty good. I had a bison burger with fresh tomatoes on it for dinner last night, very tasty, and lean I hear.

Thinking about taking tonite off as far as running goes. Still contemplating... I do need to take a rest day but I'm not sure if its better to go 2 days on, one day off, or 3 days on, one day off... I gotta get to the store and stock up on the fruits and veggies, and some hummus (its what I've been into this past week)...

Your food sounds good! I say, if you feel like taking tonight off, do it... run tomorrow. :)

Amazing work on running! Having a new playlist while running is a must indeed! Having something to keep the rest of my mind occupied definitely helps, otherwise I'm counting the minutes. Alas, I have given up running for the boot camp (only for now, maybe?) . Can't run if you can't walk. LOL. I am definitely jealous of your mileage, you machine!

Hmmm my book for training says something like Long Run Monday, rest Tu, Intervals Wed, cross training or easy run Thur, 10K race Friday, rest or easy run Sat, Long run Sunday.....in your case, basically, if you have a hard time one day you might want to rest the next, and push yourself when you're good and recovered. It's really up to you, but just listen to your body :D

Hey Handsome!!

Looks like you are getting some awesome runs in. What kind of music do you typically listen to when you run?? I like anything with a heavy beat and its gotta be fast or else I will tend to lose motivation.

Keep up the awesome work!!!

Wow you're exercise is amazing. It inspires me to want to work harder for sure, lol. So how do you cook hummus? I saw it on a diet menu one time but I have no idea what to do with the stuff or what it's put in.

Anyway thanks for your kind words and support lately in my journal. I really appreciate it. ~Lisa

hey all :)

I took last night off from the gym... and it felt nice. So, that means tonite I'm going and I'm going to try and push to do 5 miles... it'll happen :) I just remember a couple weeks ago when I ran 5 miles one day and then almost 5 the next and my body was like "fuck you for doing that to me".... hehe

Hummus, I've made a couple of times. It's basically ground up garbanzo beans, then you can flavor it with whatever you really like. When I made it I used some tahini, garlic, and vegetable stock. The stuff I've been eating lately though is from the store... My favorite bagel place has this amazing hummus that has sundried tomatoes and sesame seeds in it...

So, I made some plans this weekend with some friends... I guess I have dinner and gay bingo on Friday night, and then karokee with my other friends on Saturday night... I'm glad today is my Friday because work has been pretty boring this week...
