Safety should always be top priority

Did you know that a lot of people injure themselves when they exercise? These injuries are particularly common for those who have just started on their fitness plan, as well as those people who are slowly getting back on the healthy track. When it comes to health and fitness, you can't just decide for yourself. Even though you know your goals and want to achieve them so bad, it's advisable to consult a fitness professional to assist you in planning your workouts. Prioritize safety and make sure you have the correct form when you do any exercise to avoid possible injuries. While friends and gym buddies may have excellent suggestions for you, our bodies have unique needs depending on the fitness goals we set for ourselves. Make sure you take advantage of professional advice as much as possible so you're able to maximize your workouts while minimizing possible risks at the same time.

^ This.

The leading causes of injury with exercise (that I know of) is poor form and overexertion. The reason why gyms have mirrors all over the place is so that people can check to make sure they're doing an exercise properly. I've had a few friends who seriously hurt themselves from poor form/technique. Another thing to remember is not to push yourself too far too fast too hard. Our bodies have limits and you need to learn what yours is so you can keep it healthy.

Also, when you sign up for a gym membership, most places will give you a free session or two with a trainer. It's the perfect time to get professional advice, so be sure to ask any question you have. Trust me, they've heard it all. :)

*hugs*
