Running under water

Well. I don't think so. You're body is not moving as fast underwater. It is just moving harder. But I think for cardio, you need lots of oxygen to expand the heart or something rather, and I think that treadmill and well, not the water exercises do it better.

I don't know. I'm just a n00b however. :p

^following that logic ... well if hes doing harder work it is better to burn fat

Running underwater is good for explsiveness. Do you mean running completely submerged? The "running underwater" I am referring to is the one where you are in about waist deep.

I'm not so sure that it's the cardiovascular equivalent to running on solid ground, though. Might be better as a tool anyway.
