running 6k every other day effect?

i'm doing lifting and still trying to or improve my cardiovascualer endurance, so on my running days every other day 6k i do all lower leg workout and on other day i focus all on upper body and ab workout but running the 6k will affect my upper body growth?:p
 
It should not affect you at all if you have the correct diet. However it's kind of pulling both ways. Running the 6k will help your cardiovascular endurance but you won't burn fat very fast if at all if you are eating enough to lift and make gains. You need to decide whether you want to bulk or cut and from the sounds of this you want to bulk to get a defined chest. You need to eat a lot more and do less running it will only hurt the muscle building process.

That amount of endurance work will likely result in reduced muscle mass: basically, your body can get good at lifting heavy things, or running away from them, but it doesn't do both terribly well. When faced with both, it will move towards the endurance aspect, which means decreased overall hypertrophy of Type IIc fibers and total hypertrophy.
 
Yeah i need too know the same i run from 1-4 miles aday mon-fri and but i also workout everyday except one i am only 16 and have too run for cross country and track but i also want muscle so i can join football again by christmas so what can i do without hurting either of my goals!!!!
