Runners, Show off your resting HR

uh-oh... i think something is wrong with me. I jogged regularly, 3-4times a week, each time was around 35-50 min. Just checked my HR, it's around 75 per minutes!!! someone explain this to me??? kinda freaked out here...

when did you take it? Try to take it first thing in the morning, right after waking up, while still in bed.

I took my HR when i was sitting down doing nothing, only typing. Couldnt' be that different from just work up in the morning, will it?

Errr... i sat on my ass for around 3 hours before i checked my HR. I will check my HR tomorrow morning to see if i should freak out or not...

i am funny yah!

Almost as funny and pretty as me. <3

Also, mine is 50 right now, but I've been listening to classic rock and... doing other things that tend to raise one's heart rate. Got me all curious now, so I'll check in the morning. I'm supposed to be tracking anyway. :)

Well, I finally have an actual monitor and if I leave it on and just chill and watch TV it gets around 51-53. It has been as low as 50. I don't plan on sleeping with it on to get my "true" resting HR LOL sounds uncomfortable

I loved my HR monitor and would wear it all the time when I'm out and about because being a female I'm used to having a strap just below my chest :) I used to watch how it increased when I spoke to guys at the gym I find attractive :yelrotflmao: then one certain male it used to drop everytime I spoke to him HAHAHA I have to invest in a new strap now that I've lost too much weight and it doesn't work because it doesn't sit properly on my chest

hey focus!! I was just there dude! dang it all! I wend down town, I rode the train thingy, I ran the bench trails, I went to Banff for a couple of days and all sorts of stuff. I even went and walked the olympic ski jumps!

I think you all lie.

Mine is around 75. And I run, workout, and all of that good stuff with no caffeine, I don't understand.

My dad's is 50ish tho and he doesn't do a thing, ever, so maybe you all don't lie, I'm just jealous...

Days of Bodybuilding and Hard Cardio:

When I was doing cycling on a regular basis mine was about 38 - 42 bpm. At that time I was deeply into weight training as well.

Eating Disorder Days:

After months of low calorie intake my rhr went from 38 bpm to a regular 28 bpm (stayed there for months). Yes, that's a 2 second pause between beats. A low rhr, but quite unhealthy. Some people don't know the difference.

Today:

I just took it right now at it's around 49 - 51 bpm. I've just started doing cardio (haven't done it in years) a week ago and I'm hoping to get back to 38-42 bpm.

When I was going through all of my mil training, all I did was run and lift.

I did a crazy 6-day split and ran about 8 miles (with intervals thrown in mile 4-5) 6x a week. I had 5% BF (5' 9" 162 at the time) but I kept losing muscle mass because I ran so much. Anyway, my resting heart rate got down to 40-42 after 3 months of that.

Today, it's in the low 50's.
