Rotator Cuff injury

ohh now i've gone and done it i am almost positive i have rotar cuff tendonitis this now being my second week off but been stupid and not listening to my body the symptoms have been coming for a while and i just ignored it, i can't get in to see my quack because they never have any appointments available what do people think i should do

Been there....

I have been a swimmer all of my life and had surgery on my shoulder due to a torn rotator cuff. The best thing to do to prevent further injury would be to do strengthening excersises with a band and lighter weights. Also make sure that you are icing after you work out... 20 min on 20 min off. If you really think you may have torn it I would schedule an appointment with your doctor even if it is in the future, they will most likely want to perform an MRI to make sure there is not serious damage.

i think i was lucky because i got some anti inflammatory gel and used it for a week and even this now being my third week my shoulder has made a nice and slow recovery i will definately be taking it steady on my shoulders in future, thank you all for your posts
