Rockin' The Beer Gut!

Alright, so my "beer gut" is more like a "beer body" and I'm not voluntarily rockin' it.

Today I weighed in at 291.6lbs.

I decided to pursue weight loss again because none of my clothes fit and I feel bad about my size. I am not overly depressed about it, I am actually sort of comfortable about who I am most days but I need to climb back on the horse. Not only will it help me health wise, but I'd feel even more comfortable and happier.

I currently wear a size 22, 24, and 26 in pants. It all depends on the maker and material type. Well, I should say that I can barely squeeze into my size 22 pants. I can, but it is major muffin top. Not attractive!

Awhile ago I bought Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Plus some hand weights. They've been sitting on my shelf since forever ago. I got them out, put the DVD into my computer & got ready to work out. Oh, I also put on some spiffy workout clothes! I got in about 5 minutes of the video (the warm up plus plus the squat/push/hand weight move, beats me if I remember the name!). That's when I started going "omg I'm so out of shape! omg, I feel like I'm going to die. People are nuts who do this!!" lol.

So I shut it off, hopped on the treadmill, did a 1/4 of a mile walking while using hand weights. Then hopped off and did some strength exercises with the weights. All in all I did about 15 minutes of exercise.

It doesn't sound like much, but I haven't exercised in almost a year so it is a start. I plan on doing 15 minutes of exercise everyday for a week and see how my weight changes.

I have cut out a lot of soda and other sugary drinks. I will drink a soda or a sugary drink once a week, maybe twice, but usually I just drink water. I'll choose vitamin water or sobe water over soda. Both are bad for you but I look at sugar grams to compare and take the lesser evil.

I'm not going to make any big bad goals, because I don't want to hold myself accountable. As in, I don't want any deadlines or dates, I just want to add exercise into my life and see where it takes me. For now.

I've included pictures I took of myself before working out. As you can see my stomach/upper arms are my biggest issue. My thighs are too but eh. My butt is also pretty big, holy woah! But from the picture of my back, you can tell I do have an hour glass figure, I just need to dig it out! :sifone:
