You look great! If you don't mind sharing what are some things you did to help you lose the weight?

I track my calories as accurately as possible, which is not an exact science at all, but getting as close as possible i find helps.

I strictly monitor my intake, keeping track daily my fat, carbs and protein.

I make sure i get my protein requirements and my fat requirements, and try to keep them balanced (fish oil is a HUGE help with this, so is the smart balance omega peanut butter in my shakes)

Whatever is left goes for carbs...

I eat mostly protein shakes, with omega peanut butter, top sirloin, Chicken Breasts, bananas, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, beef jerky

rarely: oatmeal, whole grain snacks

I use a scale to monitor my intake DOWN TO THE GRAM

fitday.com makes it a whole lot easier...

I have been working on timing my meals... Carbs are ONLY in the morning, or after a work out...

I eat throuhout the day.

I KEEP prepared meals on hand

If im going to something social... I'll bring around some water and some protein bars :)

I Train very intensely 2 to 3 times a day, it took QUITE a while to be able to get to the level.

Bottom line...

Discipline, Diet, and above most DEDICATION

my will allows me to push on... eat the right things, avoid pitfalls, and avoid the TV trap.

its mostly mental.

Food is just fuel.

Master that and make progress, at least for me.

Wow! you look AWESOME!!! Its so great for me *and many others* to see how well you have done, because it is truly inspiring. I'm just getting myself on that path, and it can be overwhelming when there is sooooo much to lose. I feel its a lot more attainable. Take Care
Michelle :)

i started workin out and making an effort feb 07... i started tracking everything seriously since march 5th for a total loss of 92 lbs, at an average of 2.1 pounds per week

You look great! Superb loss over a year! Any tips on what workout was best for you?
Cheers :)

Definately the elliptical... I do informal intervals on it... Cranking the level up to 18-20 and just giving it my all until i cant then back down to get my breath, and repeat.

I also make sure to get some variety...

My second fav is the stair stepper, also using interval principals
and then the crosswalk, variating the incline and levels,

very rarely do i take a " leisurely stroll" on any equipment.
Even when i first started... i gave it my all on everything... naturally i was pooped and didnt last long... but the improvements came with time.

My lifts are also pretty intense... staying in the 5-6 rep range, with short rest periods, always switching things up.

One thing im guilty of is not being fully committed to the iron. I have HUGE regrets with this, as im sure I've lost more muscle than i would have if i would have stuck with it religiously.

EDIT: OH!! and I almost forgot! the ROW MACHINE! i just started on this, and it kicks the crap out of me... i can only do like 6 mins at a time, but its my goal to increase this.

That sure looks like a bodybuilders food plan you're on. You seem very committed to your goal. Thanks for the shining example!

You look soo good. And to be honest, I think I just feel happier for you not having all that unhealthy fat hanging onto your body... definitely an awesome job in so many ways:)
