Mal the fun aunt, that's really sweet of you to say, but somehow I think the exercise watch got it wrong. The total distance should have been 14km - even with my getting lost and doubling back it wouldn't have been more than 16km altogether...but all the climbing and ducking and weaving (to avoid tree branches) and running (from cows) have made it the most strenuous workout to date... The watch must have been working to some average, cos it also said I burned over 1200 calories, which seems a tad too much...dunno really...either way I know it was a good workout... Thanks for the compliments again
Oh Sara, I just thought of the perfect thing. I wore the dress just before I started this programme, and I took a couple of pictures in it. I'll be attending a friend's wedding on Saturday, so I'll take more pictures in it, and compare how I look in both (to measure my progress).. I sure hope it turns out as well as you think

Really nervous..You should do the same!! The wedding you've got to attend is next month, isn't it? Have you got your outfit all sorted out? (or is it a bridesmaid outfit?)

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures- I guess the camera did a good job...and the scenery posed very well too
I'm still really tired today. I had such a hard time sleeping - my knees screamed in pain and my thighs and hips just hurt SO much. I just had to go into Boots to get some glucosamine/Omega-3/Chondroitin tablets. I'm hoping that I feel alright and totally back to normal by tomorrow, cos I want to get back to the gym tomorrow! If things go according to plan, then my workout plan for this week should be:
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: 45 to 60min cardio session at the gym
Thursday: 45min weight training session, 35 min cardio session
Friday: Rest
Saturday (morning): 45 min cardio session {THEN THE WEDDING}
Sunday: Another long (hopefully woodside) walk
My brain feels better today, as yesterday's calorific deficit was not as bad as the previous day's. I've got strawberries and a mango with me as my snacks, so I should be sorted for today.. I'll also take a long walk during lunch to try to ease all this stiffness.
