Resistance vs. Cardio

Should you do resistance AND cardio everyday?

If so, is it true that you should always do resistance BEFORE cardio?

And if so, why?
 
You shouldn't do either every day. Rest is part of a good routine.

It depends on your goals. Gain muscle ? Lose Fat? Training for a marathon or sport?

I don't know who would like to do cardio before lifting weights. You will deplete your energy doing cardio before weights and cannot concentrate enough during the weight lifting. If you are talking about serious weight lifting, then one needs all of the energy and concentration available.
