Resistance training on vacation...

Hi, all! New to the forums with a quick question.

The family and I are going on a week long vacation to Disney World in November. We are staying at one of their Moderate resorts, which doesn't have a fitness center. So, we were thinking about some sort of resistance band travel equipment to take with us.

Is there one out there that can meet the needs of a 102 lb woman AND a 270 lb chunk of meat like me? I don't want to buy one that is too easy for me to use. Would I be better off just doing pushups, etc. for the week?

Thanks for any advice.

simple calesthenics (wow, I cannot spell) wouldn't be a bad idea. it'll be fairly low impact, and you'll be doing plenty of walking around, i'm sure.

just watch the food. have fun, but try to exercise some moderation on the gourmet buffets/restaurants :)

If you really want to exercise while you're on vacation and are looking for ideas besides the resistance bands, plyometrics is always good - you use your own body weight so you don't need to pack any equipment. A fun way to do this is by using a deck of cards - pick 4 exercises (one for each suit, i.e. clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds) like mountain climbers, jump squats, lunges, etc. Then turn the cards over one at a time - the suit represents the exercise you do; the number represents how many of that exercise you do. It's a great workout and it travels well! :)

I`d spill my drink doing all that:)
