Resistance bands and whole nine yards...

Folks,

I am trying to make working out a fun experience for my wife who is indimidated by my new Powertec Power Rack with Lat System attachment. She believes the system was not meant for women in general.

I thought perhaps if I slowly improve her conditioning, she might be drawn to working out with me. Just casual weight training is all I am hoping for her. The only way I believe I can make it a routine for her is if she is drawn to it as a fun experience and at the same time see some results.

I thought of starting with resistance bands for her. What is the word on Resistance Bands? Does it work? Where can I get a good one for both myself (moderate lifter) and my wife a starter.. Any guides?


Also what kind of routine one can suggest for a casual training women on this Rack system that I have?

As far as resistance bands go, you can do about any exercise (close chained) you can think of. They work just as well as any other free weight. I personally like JC Santana "predator bands". They ARE the best and most durable I have dealt with (just google it). Also he has a long term guarantee they won't break.
