Replacing battery in Nike+ iPod sensor

Hi.

I was just wondering if you guys could help me out.
I went for a run yesterday and my iPod announced that battery in my Nike+ sensor is low (became dead during the workout).I took it to 4 jewelery stores and they all said they cannot touch it, because it is Apple product. Went to a place where they replace watch batteries (Precision Time or something like that), but the guy didn't know how to crack it open.

Where did you all get the battery replaced? (I can't even find the box with instructions for it).

I haven't used mine yet, but these 2 statements are in the User's Guide.

"Important: Do not attempt to open the sensor, disassemble it, or remove the battery. No user-servicable parts are inside."

"You can leave the sensor in your shoe when you aren't working out, but if you plan to wear your shoes for a long period of time without working out, we recommend replacing the sensor with a foam insert to save battery life."

I think with as cheap as they are, they didn't make them with a replacable battery.

I've managed to complete a "surgery" to my nike+ sensor. After removing the plastics with a knife (you can use a Dremel also), I've discovered that in the inside is a simple 3V Bios battery (CR2023). You just have to remove the contacts from the battery and reattach them to the new battery. A simple procedure and way better than buying a new sensor.
