Renewing my sense of worth. Again.

Alright, so Mondays are my official weigh in day, but I'm making today my "last" pre vacation weigh in: -2 lbs. Woo! So I hit a grang total of 12 lbs gone before vacay. Would I have liked it to be more? MOST DEFINITELY. Am I glad it wasn't less? ABSOLUTELY! My grandma is the greatest cook in the world, so its gonna be hard to not overindulge, but like Lisa said, nothing tastes as good as healthy feels. :)
I was pulling out all these clothes to pack, and granted there were still a lot of things that don't fit me, but there were a lot of things that I can actually fit into with minimal muffin top. Very exciting for me... Another 20lbs and almost all my clothes will fit again. After that I'll probably hafta start buying more clothes. Ugggh. Its ok, I'm cool with it :D

Alright, gotta finish packing, go to the gym one last time, and then hit the road after my sister gets off work, bout 5ish. YAYY!
 
Yay on the -2!!! We are getting there! I hope you have an awesome vacation! Enjoy and relax. Just be mindful, and don't overindulge too often. You don't want to have to lose the same lbs you just worked so hard to get off when you get back! Love you dear.

I thought I'd come back lbs and lbs heavier but managed to do a fair bit of walking and swimming on mine so must have evened out the bad stuff I ate a bit of (nowhere near what I would have overindulged on in previous vacations though).

Soooo. Still about 250miles from our destination, uggh. I hate sitting for so long! My butt is 100% numb. Ouchy...
Anyway, hadta jump on and post this quick, cuz I figured someone would get a kick outta this: about halfway into the trip I turn to my sisters(who both go to the same gym as me) and ask if they're gonna work out with me while we're here. And it hits me- we're driving our dads pickup, so I didn't bring my car keys, no need and all, annnnd yeahhh. My gym key is on those damn keys. Eff. So the tag that gets me into the gym is currently about 1700 miles away. Effing wonderful. So Monday I'll call the gym and ask if its cool to use my sisters card. Goddd, I'm sooo mad!!!
 
Brought my id to the gym and the said it was fine. Spent 10hrs walking at moa yesterday and when we got back to where we're staying I passed out hard, so didn't go to the gym. Going to do a lot of stuff involving walking the next few days so that's good, but the humidity is aweful- all my clothes stick to me and I hatehatehate that cuz it makes them all feel uncomfy :( annnd my hair is huge! Eff. Anyway- food hasn't been good, but it hasn't been horrid either :) I'm making sure I eat lots of fruits and veggies to at least get some good stuff in!
 
Just got back from the gym. Oh man. It makes me reaaaalllly appreciate my home gym! The one I used tonight is small and all the machines are a bit older than the ones I use at home... butttt it was a gym, and it was only me in there, so whatevvs ;)

Today we went to the spam museum(hysterical!!) And tomorrow Minnesota zoo, so I'm definitely staying busy and active, at least. Its funny to me that I come here every year, lived here for a year, worked at a touristy place here, and yet when I do come to visit I try to do as MUCH tourist stuff as possible. Guess I want to pretend like I'm going somewhere I've never been?? Who knows. What I DO know tho, is that since Montana has no humidity, it is incredibly hard to get useta SO much humidity. Uggh. Even in the air conditioned gym with fans going, the humidity just permeates everything... blehhh.
 
Ugggh. Vacation is almost over, which always sucks, but at the same time I'm a little greatful! Made it to the gym once, and did loads of walking, but my food has gotten pretty bad the last few days. I NEED it to be over so I can get back on track! Hopefully not to much damage done this week... so today just a tiny bit more shopping, and then to a cousins wedding. We leave tomorrow for Montana, home on Monday. Baaah. Don't wanna go back to work!
 
Hey Jess! Isn't that so funny how we become tourists once we move out? I lived in San Francisco for 4 years, and now live about 20 miles away and rarely frequent the city and feel so much like an outsider!

I'm sure although it's work, you'll love to come back to a routine? haha, enjoy the last few days of your vaca!
 
Hai there! Isn't it weird how when we go away or have visitors that we are so eager to get back to our regime? I'm sure you'll be even more motivated when you get back now! Gosh gratz on working out while away, I don't think I have the willpower just yet to attempt such a feat. ;)
 
Thanks guys :) yeah, I'm sad the vacay is over, but glad at the same time BECAUSE I need to be in a routine again. I didn't count calories at all while I was gone, didn't eat terrific, and was on TOM, and the sodium and the humidity, ohhh god. I could go on and on. I've started my day off with loads of water and a healthy breakfast- day 1 of routine: UNDER WAY!
I close tonight at work, till 1230am, and have my FIRST day of class tomorrow morning, very early. Soo, no gym tonight. I've really gotta figure out how to fit work school and gym into one day... This'll be rough. Uggh.
 
Day 1 back on program: COULDA ended better. I was doing pretty decent on calories all day, then I got off work at 1230am, was a little hungry, and ate a buncha strawberry newtons and goldfish. eff. On the upside, I drank LOADS of water, and I peed enough times to show for it :rolleyes: lol.
Ohhh this is horrible... I'm NOT super tired, and I gotta get up for first day of classes at friggin 8am. Greattttt. I'll be a zombie my first day :rolleyes: shit. haven't gone to school in four years... thissss is gonna be rough.
 
good luck! enjoy school! hahaha, but i am happy you're back in the routine, doesn't that help?? I like being at my house so i can have all the foods i need and be in the routine!

So the first day of school was good. It'll be a lot to remember, but I'll get it ;) food today: ehhhh. I had a bag of steam veggies with a slice of cheese, which is good, but then I popped open a jar of jalapeno jelly and a thing of crackers, annnnnd ate more than a half a tube of crackers. Yayy. Lovely... gotta go back to work in a few minutes, and tonight will be salad, uggh.

You are doing so good! Going to school will also help you get a job you enjoye more and one that pays better so you will just have to make time for the gym!!! I am still thinking of going to school once both my kids are in school full time it will be my turn!! Great job!!!
 
Ohhhh gooodddd. I've been kinda aweful on food the last few days; AND still haven't worked out since I got home on Monday night. I have next weeks work schedule, so when I get off work tonight I'm gonna start scheduling in my workouts around it and school. Work till 1230am tonight, and have an early shift in the morning, so no gym tonight, either. I'm worried to see my weigh in Monday morning- and to be honest, I'm SO worried, lol, that I haven't weighed myself in like 3 days. Uggh...

Alright, off to work... blah.

I totally understand the difficulty of getting back in the groove, especially after a vacation! A schedule always helps to put things back on track! Since you got work scheduled, hopefully it'll be easy to schedule the rest of your life around it! Good luck!
 
Holy crap. This has been one of the busiest weeks EVER for me. I remember now why I took a break(ie QUIT! lol) from college the first time: I'm friggin ADD when it comes to the studying part... Thank God I have today off- I have a lot of stuff to do, both at home and for school. Just got done doing a little bit of cleaning, gonna do a little more, then on to anatomy and physiology. ugggh. Sooo much to learn! Makes me feel a little stupid :(

Anyway, I haven't been avoiding this site on purpose; its just because when I get done with what I gotta do, I pass out and start over the next day. STILL haven't figured out when to get my butt to the gym, but I am happy to report that I am only up 2lbs, even after my vacation(where even tho I did lots of activities, i ate lots of food :rolleyes: ) and with all the crazy busy and no gym time going on. Pretty proud of that, actually :)
HOWEVER, if I truly want to get to a decent goal by my 29th bday next August, I need to start getting my sweat back on.
Alright, off to get some homework done... eff. But, really, I GOTTA start going to the gym!!
