haha never thought id write another journal/diary much less an online one but i guess this is the only way to track my progress.

right now im at 306 (havent weighed myself in 2 days).. going to the gym or working out everyday..

taking my frustrations out by working out.. lets see what happens

my uncle hasnt seen me in more than a month and he asked me if lost weight cause it looks like it.. ahh finally some more motivation since looking at myself everyday doesnt really show much improvement.

ate oat meal, turkey sandwich today.. (about 700 calories total) then i realized i need to eat a bit more so i ate rice and chicken (total about 1500-1600 calories) and drank a lot of water.

went to the gym... did some light weight lifting and cardio for about 40 minutes (walking/jogging/biking) and played basketball for another 30-40 minutes..

checked my weight and an odd thing happened.. it showed my weight at 312 and it disappointed me since i was 306 2 days ago... went to a different scale and it showed me as 303.5 roughly.. i figured one of them was wrong.. so i went back to the original scale. now that one showed 303.5...anyone knows why this could have been?

anyways thats it for tonight..and wow never thought id actually update it but its helping me stay focused.

on a side note, i should really get back to working on my presentation for work..

Probably just a false reading on the first scale. Don't worry about it.

In fact, don't worry about the scale so much in general. Focus on your habits (food and exercise) and weigh less often, like once a week or something like that. Otherwise, the basic fluctuations (like water retention and bowel movements, etc...) might discourage or throw you off.

Plus, the longer you wait between scale-ins, the more progress you can see. :D

Also, even if you don't post pictures of yourself online, keeping a diary of them just for your own viewing pleasure can definitely show you results!

That's awesome your uncle noticed you've been losing weight. Great feeling, isn't it?

Congratulations on your weight loss so far! Your hard work is obviously paying off, with other folks beginning to notice! Feels good, doesn't it? Good on ya for sticking with your exercising.

Best wishes on your continued journey! And post some pics for us so we can watch you shrink...

wow i havent updated this in a while.. figured might as well do it now...

i have been going to the gym pretty much everyday lately. i have been concentrating more on weightlifting than before but still do cardio (hate it).

i have not gained nor lost any weight since i last posted however i did gain a lot of muscles and my pants are actualy pretty loose and i had to drill a 2nd hole in my belt... (dont want to get a new one i want to see how many holes i have to drill on this one :p)

today i was on the treadmill for an entire hour (first time ever) while watching lost. walked mostly and did a bit of jogging/running during commercial breaks.. average speed was 3.1mph..

then did an hour of weight training.

my muscles are sore as hell but it feels good..

i am finally able to do pushups!!! i havent been able to do them in 3 years.

tried to do pullups but still cant do that.. however i can now atleast hang on for pretty long time and pull myself up just a bit... thats my next goal is to do one pull up.

and i started to cook lately..

my meals consist of this usually

breakfast:
oatmeal or cereal or egg whites & slice of toast (wheat)

lunch:
grill chicken/fish .. steamed vegetables.. either some bread or brown rice..

other times id eat all wheat spagheti with tomato sauce and grilled chicken.

snack:
fruits or a cookie or something light.. and a whey protein shake.

dinner:
something light..maybe some cereal or a toast with sugar free jam..

anyways thats it for tonight.. any suggestions/advice/comments would be appreciated. thanks
