I am working as a Gym Instructor & Fitness Instructor (Group Exercise to Music) in Scotland. I am qualified to Level 2 in both these areas. I may be relocating to USA (possibly Rhode Island) with my husband & kids and am looking for advice on job prospects. Does anyone know if my qualifications are recognised in the USA? Will I need to retrain? Is there an official governing body that I could contact regarding working in the fitness industry in the USA? Has anyone worked both in the UK & USA and could give some advice before I make any decisions?
