RedX's weight loss journey!

Is there any good workout dvd's to do at home to change up my workout? Not the ones that will have you passed out in 15 mins lol

I am testing out the Rushfit set of DVDs at the moment, I don't know what your fitness level is at the moment but they are not bad

I am just trying to change up my cardio at the gym. Now I am doing 25 mins on the treadmil. Doing a 4.5 incline at 3.5 mph for 4 mins and then a 1.0 incline at 6.0 mph. I repeat that for 25 mins. I do 10 mins on the arc trainer. And finally 15 mins on the ellipitcal.

Is the stationary bike worth the time or not really much impact for weight loss?

Any advise on what i am doing and/or changes i can make?

The bike is good for cardio, it is not really weight bearing so if you have bad knees that is a bonus. I assume there is a rowing machine at your gym ? if so that is also a good whole body type cardio.

At the gym I go to they also have a climbing machine for cardio which is like climbing and endless ladder, not for the feint of heart but gives an awesome cardio workout.

Unfortunately no rowing machine. They have a stair climber but my big feet don't fit on the small stairs.

Busted butt at the gym today. Instead of doing 25 on treadmil, 10 on arc trainer and 15 on elliptical. I did 10 mins on each machine at fast rate. 10 on bike, 10 treadmill at 4.5 jog with 6.0 run (no walking!!), 10 on arc, and 10 on elliptical. I sweated my butt off, more than I have in a long time. Hope to see good numbers on the scale this week :D

Well done. It's always good to push yourself a bit and mix up the workout intensities. If nothing else it gives you a sense of accomplishment.

So after a 2 lb gain after thanksgiving and a few weeks with no loss...Ive lost those 2 pounds!! So back to 49 lbs lost and so close to the 50 lbs lost!!!

Nicely done! Keep it up and don't let me catch you until we're both at a better weight. I'm not gonna make it easy on you though. :)

Oh I'm not stopping any time soon. I wanna drop another 10 lb minimum to hit my second goal of 280. Not sure when I'm gonna stop.

Quick update. Damn holidays are tuff for weight loss! Been super busy at work than normal, then with all of the holiday food and busyness. I have only been getting to the gym like 1 time a week for the past 3 or 4 week which disappoints me. I think I've gained 2 pounds which isn't much but disappointing. I hope to get back to 3 days starting this week! Wife is so close to having our baby girl!! She is 34 1/2 weeks pregnant!! I'm sure when she haves our little bundle, that it will slow my workouts. But with her being home, I will hope to get out for a hour to hit the gym.

Hope everyones Christmas and New Years was great!!

Well finally broke my stall. I lost 3 pounds this week and now at a 51 total weight loss. I took my snacks and cut them to all fruit. And just tried to be more strict on my diet/exercise.

Great job! You were in great danger of me catching you.

Keep up the good work and take care of the wife while she's expecting. Feed her anything you don't want to eat. :D

A little update. I been slacking for the past 2 weeks... :( Our baby is so close! Wife is 38 weeks and 11 days until our due date. I am just so anxious with her coming, I just cant think about working out. Still trying to eat better. I think once she comes I will be back on track. Its just the waiting is keeping my mind from even thinking about the gym.

Plus i have been doing almost all of the things for us. Grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry ect!! I want to be there for wife, she needs to take it easy and rest for the baby. She has been on bed rest for 2 weeks now and she is ready for the baby to get out lol!

So my baby girl is here!! Born Friday 2/8/13 at 1:27 am. Weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and was 19 inches long. Worried about getting back to gym, not because being too busy but because head aches. I have dealt with head aches for a long time but they been under control for a while. But past week or so they have gotten worse again. Reason i never went to gym along time ago cuz when I would, my head aches would get 10x's worse!!
