RedX's weight loss journey!

17lbs in 3 weeks is crazy! Amazing work!

And yeah, echoing the above! You're always the most critical of yourself, so you may not necessarily notice the differences as easily as everyone else does. Don't sweat it - just keep making sure those pounds are falling off, and you WILL notice a difference in definition, size and strength in due time! It'll come! Don't worry! :)

Again, keep it up!

wow RedX, you are doing GREAT!!!

It just goes to show how some pretty easy changes to diet and introducing some walking can have a huge effect. Subway is my place to go at the moment when on the move and McDs or some other fast food joint beakons. No sauce and either a wrap or a brown bread roll keeps it down in cals and very low fat. My other favourite place if I have 5 mins more to wait is Nandos - their chicken in a pitta with salad but no mayo is like 330 cals and really tasty.

17 lbs is awesome though - really motivating stuff. If you can't "see" the difference yet, why not try on a pair of trousers or some clothes that were tight before and see if you have room in them now...sometimes that can really bring it home.

Good luck, keep going and keep posting!!

AThanks everyone. Yeah I have 4xl and 5xl work shirts, well the 4xl was tight before and now loose. I can definitely tell in my face the slim and pants are too loose. Lol I guess I just don't see it on the body yet.

Just worked my ass off at the gym! Did 3.2 miles total. 20 minutes on the treadmil and 30 minutes on the elliptical! Sweat my ass off. Feels good though :)

Did my weekly weigh in and lost 7 more pounds!! Total of 24 pounds in 1 month!! So proud of myself!!

Still kinda hard to tell in my self the changes. Gonna have my wife take pic of myself tonight so i can compare before and after pics. I did notice today that my belt is super loose. It feels like I am not even wearing one. Its crazy..guess im going to have to make new holes in the belt to make it smaller

24lbs in 4 weeks is UNBELIVEABLE!!! WOW! What an achievement. That must feel so motivating! Keep it up mate and I reakon you'll definitely see a big difference in the pics.

Figured i would put up a before and now pic up here to see what you guys think. I see a lil difference, in my face. This is with a 24 pound loss in 1 month

Before

After

Keep up the good work, Red. I saw your belt comment: this morning I couldn't find my usual belt (which is starting to run out of notches), so I grabbed one from the closet that I didn't recognize, but clearly had worn a lot, quite some time ago. And it fits! I don't care for it all that much. Actually had to dig out an older pair of jeans this morning, too (instead of digging through the laundry that hadn't been put away yet), and they fit, too!

Tonight I'm going to see if my new riding pants fit tonight...

Keep up the good work!

Thanks John and everyone else! Your comments help. My short period goal is hitting below 300!! That will be amazing for me, hope i can do that within the next month or so. I lost 24 in the first month so if i can do close to that, it can be soon. So i can be possibly below 300 by end of July!! Only 15 more pounds....

Anyone have any idea why i been having an upset stomach alot lately? Seems to happen during the day and especially after my workout. Drinking plenty of water, eating snacks during the day. Also eating snack 30-60 minutes before workout and after workout. Not sure whats going on

Quick update. Ive been going at it still. Going to gym every day after work for 40-50 minutes doing treadmil 20 and elliptical 20-30 minutes. Get a great workout and leave sweating my ass off and feeling good. Started today to do some weight training. I am going to do mostly upper body (arms, chest) and legs. Nothing too crazy.

I can see a difference in the photos - around the face as you've said but also in the lower stomach area - its getting smaller!!

Brilliant that you are keepign up with the exercise - with that level on a daily basis, the weight will fall off.

AYeah me and wife were talking about it and you can tell about from the side view but of course I didn't take a before pic. I can see a big difference when looking in mirror sideways

So did my weekly weigh-in. Lost only 2 pounds this week. Kinda dissapointed but knew i would have a low week soon. But still a loss is a loss. This makes 26 pounds in 5 weeks!!

2 pounds is nothing to shake a head at. A lot of the initial weight loss is going to be water loss. 2 lbs a week is a pretty good clip once you've leveled out, and since you're doing a lot of exercise (including weight training), you'll be losing FAT, not just WEIGHT. Keep it up!

Thanks John. Yeah i am happy with 2 pounds. I just have to get in my head that I cant lose 5-7 pounds every week. I want to be below 300 so bad, thats my short term goal. While doing weight training yesterday at the gym, looking at my self in the mirror it was kinda crazy. My face just looks much thinner to my self.
