Reducing Glute and Thigh Muscle

A little background info first:

I'm a guy and I've have been playing basketball for 18 years and which has resulted in me having really muscular thigh and glute are. I have a thin upper body and have been trying to get my legs and butt thinner so they look proportional.

I'm trying to reduce the size of my legs especially around the thigh and glute area. I'm not looking for answers such as you should just train your upper body.

Anyone got some suggestions?
I've heard running long distances frequently will help. I've also heard that not not moving too much(I mean not frequently moving not like sitting like a rock all day at home) will cause muscle deterioration in the legs.

This is an odd question, so an odd answer will follow. I have no idea if this will work, but a suggestion.

Go on a cutting diet, get in a calorie deficit, workout heavy your upper body, big lifts, big weights, make the upper body muscle stay around, but don't workout your legs.

You'd lose muscle and fat all over, but by not workout out your legs with squats or anything you might cause more muscle loss in the legs than upper body (the muscle in the legs won't feel the need to stick around)

Although I don't know if that would work, a better suggestion would be build up your upper body first, then do a cut, reducing overall muscle mass. It would take longer but would probably work better.

You'd need a calorie surplus of course, and would have to focus on maintaining your leg muscles and increasing your upper body, then reduce both together.

Honestly, I'd say you should give the upper body some training to bring it in-line with your lower body.

Look at NBA players...they are proportional and they train their whole body.

i do train upper body, but its extremely hard for me to gain any muscle in my upper body

i've taken protein and creatin, and i eat like a horse

then you need to eat more, or train the upper body harder.

its also not just about protein. carbs are anabolic, and BB players use a lot of energy on the court and thus use a lot of carbs from the diet.

Reduce?

Really? You want to reduce your muscles? I'd kill for thick glutes and thighs. What supplements are you taking to build muscle while working out your upper body? There are supplements out there that will pump up your workout to optimal muscle building efficiency.

Well, I need to work on thighs and belly fat as, it looks very bulgy and it doesnt look nice and I just want to know some more better ways to get rid of fat that causes lowers down of stamina.

Thanks
