Recovery Time

I'm guess I am just asking for some opinions on this subject. How long does it take a muscle to FULLY heal after a properly intense workout ? I've read one expert said it takes at least 5-7 days, so you should only train each bodypart once a week. I also know recovery has a lot to do with a proper diet and proper rest. I have read many posts that state some of you guys or gals :) train the same bodyparts 2 or even 3 times a week. Personally, I really think it comes down to the intensity of the workout. My meaning of intensity is this, when you can't do any more reps in your set... do 2 more reps, break thru the mental block in your mind that says you "can't" do another rep. That's just my 2 cents. Okay, maybe it isn't worth 2 cents, but I welcome opinions on this subject. One more note, I am new to this board, about 3 or 4 days I believe, so if a question similar to this has already been posted, I apologize. Stay strong !!!

i always tought it was 48 hours standard and 72 in some weird cases. though i think its different with endurance and str workout, i think endurance takes longer to recover from, so it might be 48 hours for endurance

"It takes 24 - 36 hours" - more like 1-100hours

You cant put a fixed amount of time on it.

I could do a light workout like a bodypump class and be healed by the next day. Because its not ripped the muscle up too bad.

However, I could do a heavy squat workout, working up to 1 rep max and its would have me away from the squat rack for 5-6days.

I find that triceps, quads and traps take 4-5days to heal
but biceps, calfs and delts take 2days to heal.
