Recipe for veggie shake?

Does anyone have a recipe for a good veggie shake? I would find one online but I'm worried it won't taste good so I would like to get one where someone actually tried it. It's ok if it has some fruit but I would like it to contain mostly veggies. Whey is fine too. Anybody?

If it contains Whey then it is not a veggie shake:p.

Wait, i might have read that wrong.

Yes, Silent. You read it incorrectly. I want a veggie shake, not a vegetarian shake.

Sarah - I have no idea what those things are that you are talking about. Is it some kind of supplement?

They sell packets of "veggie powder" that you can mix in water. Jsut buy a blender and toss some stuff in, lol, tweak it to how you like it. If you have a juicer do the same, I need to buy one.

This is one I like? Well I drink it lol.... I dont know if there are any that taste good. I have tried wheat grass w/ apple juice which was not too bad.

4-5 Carrots
3 sprigs fresh parsley
1 handful spinach
1 handful kale
1 beet
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/4 head cabbage
(sometimes I add a few scoops of fiber)

what about just drinking V8? there are all kinds of different flavors...maybe even add a scoop of greens+ or protein to it, but i wouldn't know what that would taste like.

I hear 'veggie shake' and I threw up in my mouth a little.

drink a normal protein shake, and then have your veggies on the side.

Why would a vegitable shake be more healthy than regular vegetables, silent?

No, Im not saying ones better then the other. Just that in general they are very nutritious.

Though now that you made me think about it. Given most times people have a veggie with meals it is Usually a single (type of) veggie, Maybe 2.

In a veggie shake one could easily accumulate 5+ different kinds of veggies (higher concentrations of different phyto, mineral, vitamin complex) into an easy to drink shake. So i guess in terms of varieties they could be more nutritious then simply eating a single veggie at every meal.
Of course if you had a veggie shake it would still be optimal to have veggies as usual with your meals.
And, lets not forget the possible "synergistic" affect between the now combined veggies(compounds in the veggies).

Anyone ever tried a protein, veggie shake?.

Greens+ is a supplement. One serving is the equivalent of 5 vegetabe servings. I use one serving per day in addition to eating fruits/veggies at every meal. I use it in Metabolism Advantage super shakes. A friend of mine said it tastes like tea and mixes with only water...

The best price I found it for was 22.95 at

As for blending veggies, I have no idea.

Never tried it plain. I bought it with the intention of using it in shakes. I bought one reg and one berry flavor. Many people over at the PN forums love it plain. It turns my shakes green, which gets many questions at school.

Yeah, veggies shakes do sound gross. Which is why I was hoping someone would have some kindof recipe that tasted ok. I'll check out what that supplement is about. Thanks!

Hey calcium, seeing all these posts, it seems that you want to have a good recipe of veggies which you are ready to try and till now I have not seen that you are satisfied with the recipes you’ve got here. So I have been to another forum where I have seen a which I’ve try and was really nice. Hope that you will appreciate the tomato juice.

Why not try adding some fruit like bananas or strawberries to over power the flavor whatever vegetables you choose. I do that all the time.
