If you need to boost your calories you could start adding chia seeds to everything. They're tiny and flavourless but pack a nutritional punch. I used to disgust people by carrying a bag around with me and pouring it on things in restaurants!

Well I'm feeling much better. My sleep is still all outa whack. Woke up a few hours ago at about midnight. Absolutely nothing on tv at 2am. Time to fire up the hulu or netflix.

:D I had a year or so of insomnia ten years ago and I didn't have internet access at my place so all I could was watch (or listen to, really) the 24h cooking channel from 00:30-5:30 every night. I hope your options are better!

Yea not too bad. I have satellite so about 350 channels. Then there is hulu and netflix so i can normally find something.
Now it's still a little early for breakfast so maybe some instant miso soup for now.

Hello! Just dropping by to offer some encouragement! I haven't read the whole diary (yet) but the past few entries sound good! :hurray:

Since my cals were really low yesterday thinking it would be a good Chinese day.
Sounds like a plan :) Enjoy it! Both lunch and breakfast sound great and they made sure you at least had some food foundation. You've had lower calorie days on THREE meals before so the calorie police is kind of pleased.

* Warning Food Porn *

The Chinese buffet i go to isn't really chinese. Japanese stuff like sushi and miso soup. Typical chinese stir fry stuff. Korean like kimchi and various dishes im not even going to attempt to spell.
I normally try to stay away from the carb dense foods. No rice or pasta except sushi. I love sushi so im not even going to try to bypass the sushi bar, it's simply not going to happen. I'll opt instead for things like broiled salmom and steamed clams. Some kind of meat veggies dishes that the protein isnt coated with some kind of flour mixture. Still i wont be able to keep carbs real low because most oriental dishes as a whole have corn starch and a sweetish based sauce or marinade. I just make the best choices i can.
With last weeks calories if i do go over some i dont really consider it a bad thing so not to stressed about it.

Just dropping in to say hello! Still playing catch up on the rest of your diary though!

Have fun at the buffet! I love Chinese food but my OH isn't a fan so we don't have it very often.

My diary is just a lot of emotional ups and downs. Its been an interesting year.
My foods use to be just typical american foods. Hamburgers, hotdogs, mac n cheese. Just normal everyday stuff. Now i love things like Chinese and Italian. Really just anything from across the pond. It really doesn't matter which pond as long as its different. Of course foods like the german and irish foods as well as the others tend to b carby so i try my best to have healthier versions of those. Or at least i do my best.

Went out to chinese today for lunch. Well, actually it was breakfast lunch and dinner. MFP list 1 piece of sushi about 50 calories and i had 800 calories worth. Then a plate of a spoon of this and that. I guess it was more a sample plate. Im figuring a total of 2000-2400 calories so im good for the day.
