Rebel's Diary

Haha!! Infomercials make all of life look so complicated. I hope you get better sleep tonight.

Great job on your food :)
Im sure i will get some sleep tonight. It goes like that for awhile then i cant seem to get enough sleep....... Gotta love the roller coaster ride :)

I had a pretty good day today. I keep calories pretty low... I think it was mostly due to the fact of eating every veggie in the house.
The frozen yogurt was OMG....i think its the first dessert I've had since January. The fact i did it and didn't blow my calories was a good bonus.

Yesterday was pretty good. Took my daughter out to get her something to eat. We went into a frozen yogurt place and i noticed they had cals listed per ounce and they seemed really low. I guess the difference in how they make it. As she built her a 2500 calorie cup of the stuff i noticed they had good for you toppings too. Hers um chocolate syrups and all kind of candies and it was just OMG.
I guess the girl behind the counter notice my shock at the weight of my daughters ummm meal and we got to talking about the calories and things. I told her how much weight I've lost mostly staying out of places like that. She told me they do healty options but most of her customers simply dont look for them.
At least now i know i can have something dessertish when the cravings just wont go away.
So its progress compared to the food choice i used to make.

Being able to enjoy the occasional unhealthy "treat" without going overboard is a real aacomplishment (@#$% foreign keyboard; typing takes forever when the keys aren't all where they're supposed to be). My mom and me are making gulyash today and healthifying it a little bit saves you a third of the calories. Shame there aren't any brussels sprouts left, they'd go well with it. Do you get them frozen or are they still in season down where you live?

Foreign keyboard..... Where exactly did you disappear to miss???????

We can get fresh brussels pretty much year round. I normally cheat and buy them frozen in this steam fresh kinda package. Nuke them for about 7 minutes add a little butter and done. Buuuuut on the days im feeling a little frisky in the kitchen I'll nuke em for about 5 minutes just so they are partially done and toss them in a hot pan with some bacon drippings(grease around these parts ;) ) and toss them with a few bacon crumbles and ohhhh my

:D Home. But I haven't lived here for the past 13 years. I usually cut my sprouts in half before frying them off in a bit of butter. Or soy sauce. Or with bacon. Or... brussels sprouts are amazing every way :)

Today hasn't been one of my better days. I've been up about 30 hours now. Think my anxiety got the better of me. I took some meds and they norm knock me out for 18 hours or so..... So breakfast may be my only meal today.
On a positive note; I started the process of going back to school. Ive got my Associate degree in electronics and I decided to pair it with a bachelor's in IT. The good think is alot of credits will transfer over so it'll take about 1.5 years rather than the more normal 4. So iguess im still a work in progress.... Nite all...

I like the sound of huevos rancheros. My fridge is empty since my flight was delayed two hours yesterday (today's Sunday, shops are closed) but I'm sure there's something I can do with onions, beans, canned tomatoes and a load of herbs&spices.

Yea it was really good. Its one of those dishes where two foods like beans and eggs dont go together but for some odd reason it works.
Hmmmm lets see..... With those ingredients maybe a vegitatian chilli.
Home made marinara over any kind of pasta you happen to have on hand.if you have any small types of pasta maybe you could do a spin on something like an american goulash
View attachment 24472 if you dont have ground meat maybe you could use a small portion of beans in it for your protein.
Thats what i would do any how :)

Yesterday was ok other than doing the couch potato thing. I did go outside for abit and work on tha demonic @$!#!$ push mower. It finally gave in after a few hours. Now that its working ill get some exercise pushing that and moving things around the yard. Well see how it goes.
