Rebel's Diary

Carbs suck up water and keep it in your body, so they probably are the (indirect) culprit. Does she know about your carb trouble? Maybe she could at least use whole grain. Still carby, but slow carbs mean slower insulin release. Wouldn´t influence the water situation but would be helpful otherwise.

Yea she knows but at the same time it hurts her feeling when i dont eat dinner with them. We had a talk tonight and she seems to understand that i really dont need those types of foods.

Talked to my doctor today and told her about the scale acting up. She thinks i have a carb....... Dont remember what she called it but my body likes carbs too much and goes straight into storage mode. Also the salt that normally follows things like pasta and rice isnt helping.
Starting sort of a carb purge tomorrow. Ill still b getting some carbs but only the ones found in fruit and veggies and whole grains. Try to keep my carbs lowish with fiber.
Notice to the calorie police... Lower carbs will probably mean lower calories. You know who u r so prepare yourselves ;)

That´s a healthy thing to do anyway. Try adding more avocado or nuts and maybe use whole eggs instead of mainly whites for your breakfast. You can do this! And I´m sure it´s uncomfortable for your daughter to hear that her cooking is bad for you right now but talking to her frankly is definitely the best solution in the long run. She´ll most likely adapt, which will be good for her and her family as well.

Yea it was really good. I took an old recipe and dissected it. Cut out the flour and heavy cream and just healthied it up. The biggest change was the amout of pasta. I only used like 70grams of whole wheat pasta. Turkey would b awesome in it too.
