I´m glad you got it checked out and glad your skull turned out to be tough enough. I hadn´t realized your son lives with you; how old is he?
He's 16 but he's mentally challenged so mentally he's probably about 12. The 2 girls r 25 and 18 and both married off.now im 45 and already have 2 grandkids. Both boys and the first is about 18 months and the 2nd is 2 days old. He will b in a few more days. He hadn't been able to hold down formula or breast milk. The doctor thinks it's a lactose thing and the switched him to a soy based formula. I think its soy based; its a different brand anyhow. He doing much better and should b heading home in a day or 2.

O wow, you started early  Congratulations on your second grandson! So happy that allergies and intolerances get recognized earlier these days; one of my cousins (she´s... 38 now, I think) nearly starved as a baby before they found out what was wrong. All the best for the littly.
PS: I just realized that if I´d got married at 18, had a child right away and that child had repeated the exact same thing I´d be getting my first grandchild soon :D

I couldn't sleep last night ending up take some sleep pills my psychiatrist gave me. I didn't wake up till about 8pm. Needless to say my calories today might b stupid low. It just really depends on how late im up.
Today's plan or tonight's as it were I'll do some cooking prep for the week.
Cutting up onions and thing to use later in the week. Maybe cook another game hen and debone it for a few future meals. Maybe raid the pantry and get some things together for black bean burger and \ or a chickpea curry. I'll just have to c.
Since my cals will be on the low end; might b a good night to have the chocolate milk I've been craving.

mm chickpea curry is the best. Hope you got your cals up!
Curry isn't big here. You can get some curry dishes at some Chinese restaurants but thats about it. So now in search of instructions on how to cook such a thing. Hmmmm i wonder if uncle youtube is still awake??? ;)

Sorry to hear that, Rebel. At least you're taking care of yourself as best as you can, I hope that helps a little. How's the walking/pool situation?

Pool is going but its a different style pump so i have to play plumber abit.
The exercise is slow but i did get out and do some shopping.... Love to shop...but thats another story :)
My son was doing dishes and my food scale ended up n the drink. Found a nice digital one on sale. It tells the time and weighs in pounds and ounces kilo and grams and has a tare feature so i can do away with whatever container im using. Its preeeety. They only had the display in the store but mine should b here 4-7 days. And ..... The food processor looked so lonely it followed me home as well. But backorded from the factory as well.
So overall a good day

Can´t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. Picture of pretty scales with international leanings, please :p Got any specific plans with the food processor?

I will; when it gets here. The food processor. My last one i used all the time. Chopping up veggies really fine for home made salsas. For mixing and kneading bread doughs and things like that.
Omas bread dough is really dense and if you do it by hand it takes forever. You really got to beat the hell outa that stuff. Probably biscuit dough(american version not the cookies ;) ) dont eat alot of breads but home made is always better.at least if i make it myself i know exactly how many carbs, cals are in each slice.

I´m guessing your Oma made sourdough bread? That is heavy stuff. People here swear by the benefits of sourdough over yeast bread for everything and anything. Biscuit are like english muffins, right? The fluffy, buttery things? I´m by no means a baker but they´re awesome.

It's a plain white bread though i will be experimenting with wheat rye and other whole grains. Quinoa bread would b awesome.
She used regular AP flour instead of the high protein stuff everyone seems to use now. She would knead it by hand for a good 30 minutes. The bread taste the same if you only beat it up for about 15 mins. But the difference is the crust short knead time makes the crust hard. Kinda like the crust on a good french bread but harder.
The extra knead time softens the crust. Not sure why or how. Thinking it has something to do with the protein in the bread.

Mmmmm biscuits

Good thing I cooked a proper breakfast as well (brown rice with Brussels sprouts, smoked salmon and a fried egg) or I would be drooling all over my keyboard here :)
The longer you knead, the more you activate the gluten in your dough. Maybe that plays a role?

That sounds so yummy.
Yea the black bean burger thing was really good. I have to say it surprised me. It was easier to put together than i thought...
Can of black beans onion red pepper really fine minced garlic; the kind thats already done in a jar ummm one egg and about a half cup of bread crumbs just to hold it all together. Then i formed it into a huge patty. More like a very large flatish meatloaf. I topped it with sourcream that i put quite a bit of curry powder and it was OMG good.
The olives i just wanted ;)

Yea the long knead prob does have something to do with gluten. Maybe if i used bread flour it wouldnt need such a beating. Might try it just for curiosity sake.
