Rebecca's diary

First few days of term went well. And the weekend went pretty well too. Now we are back to school/work for a full week so should be really good. All plans and routine in place. My eating routine has changed a little, but I suppose change is to be expected. And I also suppose that long term success comes from being able to ride those waves of change, making strong helpful habit changes so they carry you through the choppy waves of the storms.

The week so far has been super busy and hectic. Slightly busier than I remember! I've struggled with my eating habits this week really badly:( so tomorrow which is a good day for me to focus on me I think I will use to make some plans of action. I will look at where my trigger points are and find ways around them. My eldest is at school and my son and me just stay at home once we get back from our morning errands so I get a bit of time to myself then.

Try to utilise the really limited time that you have to focus on yourself. Take some time to think about what you want to achieve and why & write down some notes. Some examples- I want to be slim & healthy because............This is what I can do daily to help me achieve it........... I used to have a saying on my fridge "Nothing tastes as good as slim feels." & also ask myself do I want this more than I want to be slim, whenever I was considering eating something really fattening. Whenever we have a bad day or a bad week, just move on & learn from it, but do not beat yourself up about it. There are no perfect people. Having small children is so incredibly hectic & you rarely have any "me time" xo Cate

Thanks cate. I'm going to work a bit more on my healthy scrapbook I think. And utilise those things you suggested:)

Thanks Butterfly88. I will keep trying. I often say to myself that no matter how tough I find it to keep up momentum or motivation I will have more probability of success if I keep trying than if I give up totally. That keeps me knowing that at least I'm going in the right direction.:)

You are definitely going in the right direction Rebecca. Keep on keeping on, xo Cate

I've had a pretty good week. Busy but I've been able to make helpful food choices. I weigh 182lbs at present.

Thanks for your support everyone! It really helps me knowing that there are people willing to listen and share about the inane and less exciting parts of the weight loss journey. :)
I just found out this morning that I weigh different amounts according to where I put the scales in the bathroom![emoji33] my bathroom is a tiny bit slanty but I didn't think it would make that much difference. :( So I've decided to weigh myself right next to the doorway where it is flattest. Oh well at least I've found that out now! :) Thanks again guys. First day of school today so I'd better go get dressed before all hell breaks loose!:)

Before I started to behave myself, and get fit rather than slim, I used to move the scales around the bathroom and take the best reading!!!
