REALLY SHY DOING THIS - Adam's Before and In-between Just a SMALL sample

Once again, thank you guys for all the wonderful comments. I was really shy doing this, but I'm glad I did.

Once again, thank you joker, jeremy, todd, sirant, lisa, crazy4beadz, and chestnut . I really appreciate all the kind comments.

And all the comments I got about toning. I want to drop a little more body fat before I start to tone. Mind you though, I am pumping weights and trying to up my protein to preserve as much muscle mass as I have.

btw, chestnut, i totally do relate to the comment you posted...i relate with it a lot

I'm impressed and VERY much motivated like this. I am about where you were in your before pictures, our body shape is very similar. Unfortunately this is not my starting point, but about 50 lbs into my fat loss lol. I can only hope 50 lbs down the road I see as big of a change in myself. How tall are you by the way?
 
the only thing i notice is maybe you could use to work on your chest a little more. look around online for different weight training exercises for your chest

Justsharing: thanks, i'm trying not to criticize myself.

fromtheashes: progress as been slow and i'm so happy that i am giving someone else motivation. Keep sticking to you, seriously :). My height is about 5'6"...5'7"...lets just say, 5'6.5" :D.

jermey: You don't have to tell me about the chest area, i know i know!! :(. Unfortantely, you can't spot reduce, but I do two forms of "chest resistance training" at the gym...i normally only do one exercise for each muscle grp, but I make an exception with this area. My hope is, is that as I lose the body fat, undesirable traits I have right now, slowly goes away.

The lighting is different, but I do see a difference. My friend insisted that I cut my hair. I am not a huge fan of the camera, but she insisted she wanted to see how it came out.

She's up in NY...so of course, I have to pull out the old digital camera. What do you guys think?

Also, about the goatee and mustache, i've been thinking about doing a clean shave. Any suggestions?

I'm usually not a "butch" guy, but I was like "what the hell, i'll give it a try"

what a difference in your face... I do admit I like the curly locks -makes me want to run my fingers thru it :) it's pretty.. but I personally cannot stand goatees.. so shave please :D

you are very cute... :)but you need to be tickled til you smile :D
 
Reading your comments made me smile and laugh...to bad i didn't have a camera to snap the photo.

But seriously, I don't like to smile (well, I do like to smile, bah!), it makes my cheeks look to big. Bah...I am probably gonna shave the goatee and mustache...unless someone on here convinces me other wise not too. All my RL friends are like "its up to you adam..". Bah, I need some critical advice!

I do miss the curly long hair. So many people wanted me to cut it though :(

the goatee does give a slimming effect to your face, not that you really need it any more - your hard work is making it slim... it does give you a few years added to your face... so if you're tryig to look older -and your age that's ok :D

Crew cuts are fun too - the guy who's desk is behind me - I always get to rub his head when he gets it cut -it feels kinda cool - though curls are hot!! :D

I have been depressed the pass few days, but I am remaining strong and staying on course! Hopefully, everyone reaches their goal!! I have no idea what my goal weight will be. I fee like i'm not even half way there yet...
 
Adam, you look great! What a big difference. Try not to get down on yourself, you're a very kind handsome person. The sail boat ticker is so cute :). You managed to find about the only masculine one.
 
Congratulations on your weight loss. I too was going to suggest that you smile. Watch out for negative thoughts. Find a different way to think about yourself. I can be hard on myself too, I just spotted it in your posts and thought I'd say.
You have so much to offer, not to mention being a weight loss role model, (I said "role" not "roll"!)

What was/is your eating plan like?
 
biancita: I am trying to get a better self image of myself...I hated my appearance for the longest time...thank you for the kind words. Heh, yeah, it took me a while to find that sail boat ticker :p

happychubette: Yeah, i am getting out of the negative thoughts. Other stuff is going on, but I'm trying. Its just a phase. Soon i'll be back to my old, happy, anxious self.

Really, role model? me? nah! :p

I eat about 1800 calories a day. Some believe in a low carb diet, but I try to thrive for a moderate carb, high protein diet. My ultimate goal of macronutrients take in is 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% carbs, but hell would freeze over if I do actually active that in one day. I love my carbs!

I also try to do exercise everyday and I actively weight lift, about 4 times a weel (2 days upper body / 2 days lower body), hitting all my major body groups. I also try to throw in about 2 HITT sessions a week.

curnaco: Thank you for the kinds words. I hope others are motivated just like i've been motivated by others befores and afters.
