Ready to Give Up

Ah yes.. post workout meals NEED carbs to replenish etc.. gotcha. I didnt realize that was the post workout meal. Still not sure about the fat so early though. I thought it was important to raise fat intake as the day goes on and lower the carbs as the day goes on. Different schools of thought i guess.

For what it is worth, i am VERY sensative to carbs. Or so i assume, which would explain why the atkins diet was so effective for me. I lost something like 40lbs in 2 months

This about it. Since fat consumption should be at a bare minimum during pre, post, and post-post WO meals, it would be impossible for him to lower his carb intake towards the end of the day is his training is late afternoon, early evening. As long as he keeps his main carb to these 3 meals, he will have no problems cutting.

Your diet looks very good.. I would not be surprised if your assumptions about you gaining muscle and losing fat are correct. You said you only started lifting a month ago.. I was eating a hypocaloric diet (2000-2500, I thought this was "a lot") and gained about 10 pounds in muscle in the first month when I first started. I would get your body fat tested then do it again in a month and see where you stand.
