This is something our friends in Florida did a couple of days ago. These guys ara pretty serious and know how to get work done.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a great workout everyone should try every now and then. Start of with 10 sets of 10 in the squat for a total time of 10 min. Start stopwatch, if it takes you 30 seconds to do 10 reps, your rest time is 30 seconds, if it takes you 40 seconds your rest time is 20 seconds. Stay on time, its killer. One of our guys here did all 10 sets with 286lbs.
Second, pick one other great leg exercise. We did dynabody squat (squat machine) again doing 10 sets of 10 in 10 minutes.
We then proceeded to do a 10 minute circuit of leg curl, low back and shrugs.
Finally we went out and did 200 yards of knee to the ground lunges.
As always finish up with more shrugs, ha.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This reminded me of a form of motivation I heard recently. A strength coach asks his athletes what weight they could clean for 10 reps, if they had a gun to their head and they were going to die if they did not get it.
The athletes gave their answer. When they showed up for their next workout the strength coach says...
"Remember that number you gave me. Do it for 20 reps!!!"
Every athlete ever asked this has made 20 reps (except 1, who got 17 reps)
The purpose of the exercise is to show these younger athletes (college age) how hard they are actually able to push themselves.
I thought that was pretty cool.
