I'm a young mom who's looking for advice and support in dropping the extra weight. I currently don't know how much I weigh because we have no scale but I was at 185lbs 3 weeks ago right before I delivered the baby so I'm guessing I'm about 170 right now (hopefully less).

I'd like to be about 125 pounds but I think with two kids under two, 130-135 would be a more ideal weight for me to try and maintain.

I got a treadmill so I can work out in the mornings while the kids are still sleeping (mostly for when I go back to work) and I'm VERY anxious to get back in shape. I was making some good progress when I got pregnant again so the whole nine months I was looking foward to getting down to my ideal weight after the baby but now that the time is here, I'm tired and finding it hard to get up and move around.

I'm hoping to get there within 12 months. 40 pounds = about 3 pounds a month, very realistic I think.

Wish me luck!

The "Before"

Well, I went and bought a scale today. I was scared to weigh myself but it ended up being about what I expected so I pretty much knew what I had to work with.

I am at 169 pounds, I hope to be in the mid 140's at least by the end of the year, if not lower.

My plan is working out and writing down EVERYTHING I eat. I have found this to be the most effective method of weight loss. It worked for me to lose 20 pounds after baby number one so I'm hoping it will work again. I'm only 3 weeks pos delivery right now so I'm not officially released to work out yet but I'm trying to get a lot of walking in. I'm also trying to stick to a 1500 a day calorie diet, but I flex that depending on my activity level for the day.

I'll keep the posts coming, I look forward to updating my ticker:), feedback and advice is appreciated

Moving slower than expected but still in the right direction. I just got officially released to work out a few days ago so I hope to move at a faster rate now.

Anyone else struggling with getting started with two little ones?

I'll keep you posted...

stick a excercise vid on and have a laugh when your kids are playing on the floor with their toys- as long as you are moving about...
