Ready To Conquer The Beast

hey hon. Sounds like you are about ready to draw a line in the sand and just get on with it! Wishing you the best of luck and lots of support - remember, little steps and you'll get there one bit at a time.

After messing about for the last couple of months, I too am knuckling down and meaning business so will be with you!

thanks jjjay :) glad to see a familiar face!

So recap so far: Friday I stayed in calorie range but ate lunch from taco bell. Yesterday I had to be at work all day and knew we'd be on the go so bob evans breakfast bowl for breakfast and I got a sandwich from subway for lunch. Later that day I got a mango strawberry fuitista, which I'm really hooked on right now but thankfully are only 280 calories for the large YAY!. So by that time I was at around 1000 calories. Dinner I went out with a friend and had steak but chose a garden salad and broccoli for the sides and stayed within range.

Also got my exercise for the day for sure. We too the girls to this really awesome pumpkin farm that had hay rides where you rode out to get a pumpkin, a gift shop, food stand and even a petting zoo.

But the most amazing part was this huge corn maze on ten acres that can take 20 min to an hour to get out. The overhead view it was shaped like the egyptian sphinx pyramid and inside you were supposed to be able to find egyptian "artifacts" to turn in for candy. Well once we got in we noticed other people had maps...not sure why we didn't get one but nothing like being stuck in a corn maze to force you to keep going. 30 minutes later I was dying just from walking and after finding a "you are here" map sign navigated us out, probably in sheer desperation, lol.

This is just a reminder though because I've always been heavy but the weight never used to hold me back. I could walk for hours no problem. I'm tired of it being an obstacle for sure so hope that will keep me motivated.

Only problem with this journey is that I have no control over what the me of tomorrow is gonna feel or do. So as motivated as I am now that's frustrating because I never know whats going to throw me off. Just going to have to do my best to make a plan and pray.

Nice to see you back again. There are a lot of us that haven't been quite so focused during the summer months but we are all starting to sort our selves out now. We can do this :D

Thanks Korrie and eckymans :) Nice to come back and see all my old friends still here.

So this weekend was busy and Sunday I inadvertently got my exercise in again, lol. It was supposed to be a day at the house with the girls but my boss added a bunch of errands on that turned into two hours of shopping at kmart and walmart. Walmart makes me crazy after that long and I jokingly threatened to have a behavior at if they didn't get me out of that place. But seriously, these girls can shop till they drop.

Food was ok yesterday, at least wasn't fast food for the most part. I took a tinfoil dinner to work that had a chicken breast and some potatoes and onions. I had a pot roast cooking all day at home in a crockpot for today but we were so hungry when my hubby and I got home we had it last night. My only fast food yesterday was a mango strawberry fuitista from Taco Bell, which for me on the weekend that's good. It's too easy to hit fast food out of convenience for me on Saturday and Sunday. Incidently, the large fruitista only has 280 calories. I turned down donuts yesterday and told myself I could have one of those instead and the calories be more worth it :)

So yesterday we finished off with subway for dinner before I had to work a midnight shift. I ended up under my calories by 500 but I didn't know that till I finished adding them up tonight.

Today didn't go quite so good. I was STARVING this morning and ended up eating breakfast at Burger King, then we had lunch/dinner from Wendy's. I'm only over my calories by 200 but still, fast food all day? And this is the most fast food I've eaten in a long time so go figure. Tuesdays are going to be hard for me because I'm in between night shifts, tired and this week sick so I'm going to have to plan better and have stuff precooked. It's my Friday so I'll try to swing by all my friends journals over the next few days :)

hey hey hey - really great to see you here a bit more regularly!!

I love subway (but I don't like cheese and sauce and stuff - just plain old meat, lettice and loads of olives for me). Some days though, you know, you just fancy fast food...I try and limit these (obviously) but if I have to, have a kids meal or some chicken strips and small fries and then keep dinner and breakfast light. Tomorrow is always another day I say and I didn't get fat eating badly one day but because I made the same choices over and over and over again!
