Actually, I just watched it on TV. but thanks, I had fun watching it! :)

Big Brown won,

And Eight Belles came in second, but then broke both ankle in her front legs and was euthanized on the track..

RIP Eight Belles

Sad indeed :(

I had that little filly on several tickets and she actually won me a few buck-a-roonies but I can't feel good about money won that way. What heart that gal had running like a champ knowing she was hurting.

Horses do what horses do, I guess - just run like the wind blows.

R.I.P Girl :(

:( thats so sad. I think its awful that horses have to be put down because they break a leg. its sad.

but it's even more sad when they are forced to hobble around for the rest of their lives, always wanting to run with the herd, and never being able to do more than a painful struggle. :(

Yeah, it's sad. However, with Barbaro, they tried so hard and made some good headway into research for saving horses that have broken limbs. p.s. what did you think of the pic of Player?

Anyway, had a riding lesson again today, and... I got to jump, and REALLY Jump!! Going from trotting a small X to cantering towards one is a BIG difference. Charles was able to really push off of the ground! It was amazing! Plus, I get to start working, really working with the horse I love to death. I'll be getting her ready to be used in the walk/trot beginner lessons. So that means I get to ride her! woot!

Have fallen a bit off the tracks, but not too badly, will pop back on tomorrow, I promise. :D

Have a great day everyone!

well got to ride again today. Western this time. It's fun learning both styles. It'll make me a better all around rider and woot! I'm gonna be a trainer/riding instructor. It's what I want to do in life and what I need to learn all that I can. :D

plus it's fun, and makes me lose weight. :D

oh my.

I have gone completely off the deep end. I've gained almost 15lbs, and I can't seem to get control of myself. Maybe it's stress... I graduate in less than a week, and the last couple of months have been kind of hectic, and I guess that I just let myself go basically... really, it stinks. I am going to really try to get myself back on track this time. I would like to be skinnier by the time I go the guest ranch in Colorado at the end of August. Hell, I'd like to surprise my grandmother with the amount of weight I've lost. She's concerned about me, cause my grandfather, (both of them actually) died young of heart attacks, and she's worried that if I don't learn to control myself now, I never will. Man, I wish that I could lose thirty pounds by then! That would be awesome!

anyway, am going to not leave this place again, will try to post everyday. Gonna be honest with you guys and myself. Today is the last day of my bad lifestyle. Tomorrow, it's a new change for the better!

well, did well today.

ate a big breakfast, went to do hard physical labor (cleaning stalls and ranch work) then came home and ate just enough to sate my hunger. Had a huge glass of water, and am now cleaning my room. Maybe I'll get my mind on the fact that it's time to change. :D

Good Luck with trying to change. I know you can do it. I am trying the same right now. I want my grandmother to be shocked. I'm always scared that I'll end up dying of a heart attack very young, and yet sometimes I still slip. Good Luck! I'm looking forward to reading your daily posts!

lunch was a bean burrito. yum. :D

Then I worked at the barn all day. Well, two of them actually. Cleaning stalls, hauling water buckets, grooming horses. Giving riding lessons. Running with horses in deep sand so that I could teach the kids about posting. Then getting on and giving the horses a chance to canter. :D I love that. And, since it's supposed to be nice tomorrow, I get to jump! woot! happiness is me.

Graduation rehersal tomorrow, *bleagh* boring. But, you don't rehearse you don't walk so I have to go.

Will behave at dinner tonight. have a little chicken and some potato. (baked) will do some pushups and some ab work tonight when I finish cleaning my room. Weigh in tomorrow for the official ticker thing. Yikes, am not looking foreward to that!

jumped again today. it was amazing. well, I wasn't, but still, I'm learning! legs hurt like no other right now though.

Actually, I really have done well today. now for tomorrow!

ok.

well, excitement abounds!

There is a new baby horse at one of the barns, and I promise i'll get pictures up soon! Her name is Mollie, (Maleah Jaleah) but I call her Spitfire, cause she is one! :D

I am interning on a Norwegian Fjord farm and am getting to ride a lot more than I have been before. So, it's fun. :D

Oh, and I'm thinking about possibly moving out soon...maybe, maybe not, haven't decided yet... scary thought, yet exciting at the same time...:)

Anyway, have gotten back on the wagon, and feel that I can control myself more now than I have in the last few months. Plus, doing all the extra riding is really good for all of my muscles. I've ridden for three hours in the last two days, three different horses, and man does my body feel it! Legs, thighs, calves, arms, and abs! It's an all area workout! I love it! :D

your passion for horses is so cool to watch...

exciting times ahead for you - enjoy 'em

Thanks, I plan to. :D

Had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and soup and a sandwich for lunch. Am trying to drink more water than milk, and less juice (look at all the sugars in those!) More fruit and veggies as well.

Can't wait until the end of August when I get to go to a dude ranch for a week! woot for me! Can't wait can't wait can't wait!!!!! :D:D:D!!

Am going to do a weigh in on Friday, and will start up again. I'm so bad for not sticking with this forum, cause everytime I drop off, whoops, up goes the weight...

Anyway, will try to make an effort to get on and post more often...
