oh my goodness...

see what happens? I stop visiting the forum, and I gain back 10lbs...:banghead:

it's been a loong time since I've been on here, (as I can see by the fact that my signature is yelling at me to update it since I haven't in 80 days...)

Well, a lot has happened...

I gained the weight back, but I'm getting back on it as my graduation gown is going to be here on the 12 of june, and we graduate on the 18th.. and considering that I lied on it... I have to drop some weight and inches to make sure that it'll fit!!!

Also, I got an iternship on a local norwegian fjord farm here in Bothell WA, and I'm super excited. I get to learn all about running a barn/stable, and I get to ride everyday and show the horses. (if I want to, that is)

2 months left until I'm done with high school.
I'm going to a dude ranch in August
I'm getting a new car
I'm learning how to train horses
and it's snowing outside...

in the middle of april... in everett... that's not cool...

anyway, i will make it a habit to stay on track here!

I pretty much stopped frequenting the forum when they blocked it at my school. Apparently, a fat girl wanting support is inappropriate...

I was seriously pissed when the "ACCESS DENIED" screen came up...

pssst -last picture i saw of you - youdidn't look too fat to me - plus with your mad volleyball skillz - you'll skinny right down :)

I've already eaten today and I keep finding myself wandering near the kitchen, so I got on here to keep me away from it! :D

oh, and guess what! I got to jump for the first time at my riding lesson!!!! *dies of happiness* I was doing trot poles with another rider and the fourth time around, I looked up and saw Sara going over a small X. I was confused, as nobody had told me that I was jumping... I was about to turn away and go around, but then I heard Vel (my instructor) say,"Keep going! hold the two-point through the first set of poles, and then keep it while going over the X. Keep your eyes up, and DO NOT look at the jump!"

I got to do it three times, and I swear, the grin didn't leave my face until I fell asleep last night! I can't wait to do it again!!!

I don't play volleyball anymore... high school season ended, so I'm done. EvCC wanted me to play for them, but if I had taken them up on it, I would have ZERO time left for my work with the horses, and between the two, I'll take horses any day, hands down over volleyball. :D but, I'll be riding everyday during the summer and that = LOTS of burned cals.

Thanks! It's been a roller coaster, I can tell you that. I actually started re-reading what I've written, and it amazes me at how far I've come. How I got down to 187, and then plumped back up to 216... ugh. I'll get back down, I know it, because I'm finally really wanting to do this, not just for me, but for the horse I ride! I know that he would feel sooo much better if I weighed 50lbs lighter! :D

Anyway, thanks for reading my diary!

Thanks! I really want to lose some weight before August when I get to go play with the ponies and their cowboys in Colorado! :D

The Kentucky Derby is pretty dang cool I must admit. I love watching all the backgrounds and reading up on the horses and their trainers. (owners nowadays don't do as much).

And, since you love the derby, I think you'll like to know that at the rescue where I work, we have 2 of the grandfoals of Seattle Slew. "Play the Best" out of T.S. The Best, and Crimson Slew, and Miss Prissy Slew. (whom I call miss Pissy slew because she's five and is wee bit on the pissy side. :D)

Anyway, I'm down two pounds! woot! Am starting to get the good satisfied feeling that I'm finally on track again!
 
ok. so was good today! yay!

drank more water, and controlled my eating. I also went for a half hour walk today. Go me! :D

Am trying to keep salty foods away more, eat more fruits and veggies, and just pay attention to what I eat. had some cheesy rice today, and deliberately burned it so that I couldn't eat half of it! :D I'm so sneaky. sometimes I just surprise myself! :D
 
ah, that-a-girl for connecting good days together. It feels so darn good, doesn't it !?!?

I went to the Derby in 1984. Swale won that year. Lawdy, what a party the Derby is !! I hope to get back to it some year just for the fun in the infield.

I'm not a very good handicapper but I like plunking down a couple bucks on crazy trifectas and such. I won 1560.00 once !! I can't ever remember miss any triple crown race TV - ever, not to mention the Breeders Cup, too.

Sheesh, Slew's bloodline is getting abused ?? How mean :cuss: Bad horse owners should get the electric chair, IMO !!

Keep stringing those good days together, young lady :)

Sounds like fun!

And yeah, Player (16.35 hh) bowed a tendon in his right foreleg while in training. He never got to race. He was sold to a couple who wanted a trail horse, but couldn't handle the ups and down of the steeper trails. He was given to us because they didn't want him to be on the road to a slaughter house. Also, his back is very swayback, and now he is completely unrideable. A vertibre keeps popping out on his back so he's just a very very handsome pasture pal. :D



Miss Prissy Slew (16.3hh) raced once and placed 10 out of 11...they didn't race her again. They tried breeding her but she wouldn't take. She ended up in a pasture with not enough food or anyone to really work with her. One of our volunteers brought her to us and she was ridden yesterday for the first time with us and she did Amazingly well. She's a biiiiig girl and has the big thick long TB legs. She'll be a GREAT hunter/jumper if she gets the training. (she's only 5 and she'll probably grow some more). She's gorgeous too. Alergic to shavings and her back legs swelled becaue we didn't know. She also has some kind of swelling going on on her eye that nobody really knows why its there. The vet couldn't figure it out either without blood tests. But it doesn't hurt her or cause any eye problems, so we're waiting it out to see if it will go down.


Anyway, haven't been great the last few days, but haven't been horrible. Will be good tomorrow.
