Reaching For the Dreams....

Okay, so today was pretty good too. I had cereal for breakfast, "lean cuisine" for lunch, and again, soup and a sandwich (though it's been a different combo of soup and sandwich every time:D) I didn't get out to the horses all day, but I did go from 9:30 to 6:30 on my feet doing about 5 huge stalls, waters (hauling them out, breaking the ice, and then filling them again) grooming a bunch of horses, and then just playing in the pasture with my baby (her name's jessie, she's 20, and she's a chestnut quarter horse with socks on all four of her feet)

I haven't been on the scale, but I do know that i've been drinking TONS and TONS of water recently. It's kind of amazing me that i don't start bursting from the seams with water! :D:D! Anyway, it's been a good couple of days, and the cold is finally gone (which means we've reached temps in the low 40's) and the snow is melting(FINALLY!)

*hides face in shame* I've gained... again... I don't know what's wrong with me!!! Nothing I do is working! argh! I don't think that I'm eating that much...but then again, I stopped writing down everything that I was eating, and maybe that's why I'm not doing so well, I'm just not paying attention...

It is discouraging to wake up in the morning and see the scale read 197.4....there, I said it... now I can face it and move on...

It's 11:00 here and I have already had breakfast and lunch. (I woke up early)

Breakfast was 1 serving of "nutty nugets" (which are basically grapenuts) with blueberries. And lunch was half a turkey sandwich on wheat bread. I think that that's about 650 cals total so far, so i'm on the right track. I just got a new notebook that I'm going to start over with writing everything down, and I hope that I can start seeing results again soon.

{{{{HUGS}}}}} Don't feel bad Xorie. You can do this! Writing down your food is key, even if you're not counting calories, it shows the pure volume of what you're taking in. I know for me, it is the make or break of this way of life. I stop writing, the lbs keep coming....I write and I either maintain or lose. I like Dr.Phil's quote "You can't change what you don't acknowledge" and by writing down your food honestly, you can see what you are doing and make adjustments from there.

Ok, so i've added it all up, and I've had about 2180 cals today... oh man... Jacqui, you need to cuuuut back! lol. But now seeing it in writing, I can cut and paste what i actually need! :D

Hey Xorie,
There's no time like the present to get back on track! And you're doing that :D

One meal at a time, and keep track of what's going in - don't go too low in cals trying to make up for lost ground. Just eat sensibly and you'll get there.

KEEP posting girl!

Ok, not so good today, but the last two have been pretty darn good. Today was the begining of TOM, and I just couldn't stop myself!

Lunch was 4 of those little bite size muffins, green tea, and about half of a candy bar (chocolate of course) then I had a snack of more tea, some chips (french onion sun chips) and cookies. Though, I bought a thing of chips ahoy cookies, the ones with about 24 cookies and only ate about 2 1/2 of them...

theeen... ok, here's the bad part... I came home and just wanted comfort food...I had a little of mom's chicken enchilada stuff, then some pizza, and then a tortilla with peanut butter and chocolate chips....

*smacks forehead*

ouch...I was pretty bad today... hopefully I'll do much better tomorrow, AND I get to play with my horses! :D :D :D!!!

Post your good days too !! Maybe we can play connect the dots and get a nice straight line going here :)

We believe in you young lady !!

Ok! Well today was a good day! Finally!

I had a 1/2 bowl of WeightWatchers Almond Crisp w/ blueberries (which is surprisingly good, I might add) for breakfast, then a bowl of raisen bran after school. Plus TONS of water all day. Then dinner was leftovers of mom's chicken enchilada cassorole(sp?) with a tortilla with peanut butter, banana and chocolate chips for dessert. And that's ALL that I had all day. I'm proud of myself. AND I ran around getting horses in out of the rain, then sweeping, grooming, and putting blankets on them. I had lots of fun today! :D:D:D!!

oh, and if anyone is interested, the website is It's awesome, and you should go to the website and see all the horses that I work with, just click on the part that says "Meet the Herd". (but especially Jessie, cause i'm taking care of her on the days that I'm there, and I have WAY too much fun with her! :D:D:D!!!) This is the closest I can get to trying to convey what I feel about doing this, and I just want you all to know the horses that I play with! :D:D (And I hope that this isn't considered "advertising" or anything, cause it's not, and I just want you all to look at the pics:D)

Life is short!! Hug your horse!!

Good for you xorie :)

I use to play poker online with a chick from Kentucky who dedicated her life to a place she named Lemon Horses Farm or something to that effect. She takes abused race horses and gets them back on their feet again. I had no idea how bad owners can treat their horses until she started telling us stories - really sad stuff :(

Well another good day for me! That's two in a row, and I have a feeling that the rest will follow soon! :D:D!!

Oatmeal w/bananas for breakfast
Chicken cassorole for lunch
small banana w/ PB and tortilla

And that's all I've had all day. Gonna make some spaghetti for the family tonight, and I'll have a little of that, and no more milk at dinner, only water, so that I can get in my water!

Well going on three good days in a row!

Breakfast was cream of wheat w/banana
Lunch was some chicken cassorole(the last of it, so I can't have it anymore!:D)
I had a PB&J sandwich, and two other bananas and some of a pear througout the day, and dinner's probably going to be a little of the turkey soup that my mom made. But not a lot.

Woo Hoo!! Three days in a row is excellent Xorie!

You keep going girl :D

BTW, when does VB start up again?

Finally, the scale is showing me some results! I had skyrocketed back up to 199.2  But now I'm back down to 195. Woohoo! I'm doing good today too! Just a bowl of corn chex this morning! Yuppers, I'm on top of it now!
