Reaching For the Dreams....

oh man oh man... just ate dinner... spinach raveoli... ate waaaaay too much... now i'm uncomfortably full... Never gonna do that again.. just a tiny set back. I'll play tennis tomorrow for and hour to counter act it. wow... my stomach is so small now... ugh.:(

Good attitude, Xorie! We're in a learning phase right now, learning how to feed ourselves AND lose weight, so an occasional slip is expected. Good for you for not letting it stop you!

Conrgatulations, too, on the weight loss. Four pounds is WONDERFUL!

Four pounds is amazing!! Well done you are definately going to get below 198 that is only 6lbs away. Don't worry about the ravioli, you have made a mistake and realised and you won't do it again. Keep up the good work and have a great day!!

Went out to dinner tonight for a friend's graduation. Ordered a pizza (cause it was the cheapest) and only ate three of the small slices. that was less than half the pizza. I also only drank water, and was perfectly content. didn't even touch the cake the waitress brought Tony, only slid my finger across Cody's plate to get some of the chocolate frosting...(but then he licked the plate and I was done...:D)
And Slim fast for breakfast, 1/2 a bowl of soup, and a 1/2 PB& J sandwich

So, all in all a great day.
And i'm holding at 204/205 (depending on which way my scale wants to go.)

wow. My brother is graduating tomorrow from high school... weird...:) Actually, it's kinda crazy. And even though I've been to a few parties, I have managed to control myself. Even today.Yes, I had a slice of pizza, a small Italian soda, and a small cupcake, but that was the worst that I got. I'm also leaving to go to Cape Cod on Sunday, and I don't know when I'll be able to post again. though, it's my goal to be under 200 by the time I get back. Cross your fingers everyone! This is going to be one wild ride!

The nice thing about the Cape is there are so many walking and biking trails... they can help burn off some of those 'vacation calories'. Hope you had a great time!

Crazy packing now, 'cause we're leaving on monday, and we still need to go shopping.

But, I was bad today, ugh, have to get back on it, ate a good breakfast, but then went to Mexican, and ate everything on my plate... AKA chicken burrito, rice, beans, and some of those chips they put out all them time. Then went to a friend's graduation party. Had TWO (*hits forehead on wall*) of those starbucks mocha thingys, and a browine. oooh, that was bad... But, I'll just accept that I was bad, and move on to tomrrow. I'm holding steady at 204/5 and hopefully by going back, I'll be able to start the car from the stall and continue moving up the hill! :)

Today's the final running around day, and i'm about to head out the door for an unknown amount of walking! I get to get a lot of execise in today! And so far, all i've had today is a bowl of corn chex, so I'll just eat really well today, and then make up for such a bad day yesterday.

CAPE COD TOMORROW!!!! (at 3:00 in the morning though, cause our plane leaves at 6:10) eeeewww...

Wow, Xorie I come from an overweight Irish family too. I also got my dad's stubby fingers and got my receded (Past receding) hairline from my mom's side. We can't choose our genes I guess. Anyway, it sounds like you've got a good start going and I know you can't be a couch potato and be a good volleyball player too so you're probably doing OK with that part of things. If I could make one comment to you, it is learn the math. A peanut butter and jelly sandwhich is not a regular part of any diet a know of. However, if you're limiting your calorie intake to 1200 a day. A PBJ on white is generally about 400 calories. It is a decent source of protein and just a bit high on carbs. If you put it on whole grain bread with natural peanut butter and a fruit spread instead of jelly--it would actually be pretty good for you and about 280 calories. If you find out the facts, I think you'll find you don't have to deprive yourself as much as you think you do to reach your goals.

you're coming to the Cape at the right time-weather has finally broken 80- and it's almost like summer... :) You'll get in a ton of walking while on the cape- head down to Provincetown for peoplewatching while walking :)

enjoy

Have fun over there. Enjoy your self and BE GOOD;) You are doing a great job. It's good that you knowledege your eating habbits for the day and move on. There is no point in crying over spilled milk:p As long as you make a difference for the next meal. Keep it up and Stay POAITIVE. Don't forget your WATER:D

wow... thanks guys! That was helpful, especially Cannon 2006. It was good to read that and realize that having a PB&J isn't that bad for me (if I don't eat them all the time!)

Oh, and for lunch, we went to Burgermaster, and I was seriously contemplating getting the #1 combo, which was a burger, fries and a milkshake.......BUT I DIDN'T!!!! I ended up gettin a french dip with fries(and I didn't eat them, only a few, then gave them to my skinny sister :D) and got water, rather than a soda. I'm proud of myself for being able to say no! *punches air* Yes!

Well, I've been good all day today. Had a TON of water, and then for dinner I had an apple and a small pb&j, (especially because I give all the edges to my dog!)

Had to try on a bunch of clothes today...

eeeeww... I really dislike trying on clothes. I really do. But I felt better because I could pass up the 17's, and 16's, and try on 15's. That was probably the best part. And my new shoes...:D I'm hoping to come back from the Cape a few pounds lighter, by controling my eating, and by swimming twice every day. (the house we're renting has a small lake/ large pond behind it. Which is uber cool! :D

Ok, I'm back from marvoulous Cape Cod. Though, I am glad to be back.

When I came back, I was reluctant to check the scale, knowing that I had eaten pretty badly while I was out there. pizza, meatballs, spaghetti, fast food, and the every deadly "Friendlys". But, when I got on the scale, It said that I had only gained 2 lbs. I was utterly shocked. I could have sworn that I would have gained so much more while on the cape. But I didn't. So I'm happy.

At the cape, we had a house with a "pond" in the back. Herring pond. But it's actually the size of a small lake. I swam across it and back on the day before we left, and felt extremely proud of myself. We walked all over P-town, and went on a whale watching trip that brought us within 14 ft of a humpback whale. It was really cool. I swam everyday, went mini golfing, had just had plain fun. It was a great vacation.

We even had a family reunion that was held at a resturaunt, and had a couple of family dinners at my great uncle joe bayne's house. That was fun. I had a turkey burger,(which was rather good) and if I had a hot dog, it was one of those low fat things that you think would taste disgusting.

Even though I didn't lose the 5 lbs that I wanted to, I think that if I can behave from now on, I shouldn't have a problem. Vacations over, and now it's time to kick some serious butt.

sounds like you had a blast. most people really pack on the weight durring vacation. Think you did very well.... the fun wasnt bad either......
