Rapid weight loss, ok?

Rapid weight loss, ok? UPDATED

Been on my cut for one week.
Started at 224, 5'10 with a rough BF 18.3%

One week in and I've lost nearly a lb. every other day, is this alright?
I'm currently at 219, with measurements slightly decreased in my chest, waist and hips.

I have the same amount of energy, most of my strength has been retained soo far, and I'm actually sleeping better than I did on my bulk. So is it OK to continue this path?

Rapid fat loss is generally considered unhealthy; however, one can experience rapid tissue loss when first starting out due to the possibility of, a rather drastic drop in calories or just a drop in calories, that creates a calorie deficit especially within the first week or so, but eventually, the body adjusts, and this will slow down.

I would be interested in your diet and calorie consumption and the plan you outlined. Example: MT Line and your calorie deficits.

In addition, I would be interested in your training routine you have planned.

Best wishes to you my friend

How many calories are you taking in each day during this " cut " ? ?

How often and what type of cardio do you do each week - and how long is each cardio session ?

My maintenance calorie level is: 3250
I'm currently consuming about 3000 a day. Diet consists of high protein, medium carbs, and medium to low fat. *rough estimate* 190 Grams of protein, 75 grams of carbs, and minimal fat.

--Exercises--
Day 1- Cardio HIIT 25 min.
Day 2- Arms & shoulders
Day 3- Cardio HIIT 20 min.
Day 4- Legs
Day 5- Chest & back
Day 6- HIIT 25 min.
Day 7- Off

That is great!

Ok guys, hammered out my diet. Take a look and see if theres anything that needs to go. I've been losing weight at a steady rate of 1 lb. every 2 days or so.

-Morning-
Sugar Free Coffee
3 Egg Whites scrambled
Glass of milk
Handfull of cashews
Carrot & banana

-Lunch-
Glass of milk
Handfull of beef jerky
Wheat Tortilla microwaved with cheese
Large scoop of peanut butter

-After workout-
Glass of milk
3 Egg Whites scrambled
Handfull of beef jerky
banana

-Night-
Glass of milk
Handfull of cashews
Carrot
Grilled chicken breast

Have plenty of energy, feel great and not loosing weight REALLY fast, so I think this amount of food is Ok. What do you guys think?

Your Choices look fine, amounts and if its enough I can't really say because handfulls this and pinch of that.

If just starting off it can be a little shock. Not to mention you can lose and gain 5-10 lbs like it is nothing when you are starting out or even later on. Track you trend, keep up the protein and variety like you are and you should roll along fine.

Oh and eat your yolks and get some greens in there, carrots aren't the only veggies ;)

The OP can feel free to add himself to the weight tracking thingie at the top of the forums. I see some others who were there have possibly quit or removed their progress. The sad reality is that many start off and then start giving up after a few weeks (which is why fad diets are bad for you as your weight will increase with vengeance.)

Will do, thanks for the advice.
But doesn't Egg Yolk contain the crap, I.E. the Cholesterol, not much protein?

The yolk has fat and some good fat at that and the levels are not that high. Just one of many fat sources you can use.
